American isn't accustomed to having any representation of Muslims, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar are the first Muslim Congressmen in our history. Isreal always been more than adequately represented by Congress, but Muslims have never been represented. For the first time, we're beginning to understand more about Palestine and the oppressive conditions under which Israel has imposed upon them. People in this country have no idea about the conflict between Israel and Palestine because Muslims have been freely dismissed by having no voice in government. Now we do and people are demonizing them for it.
