This is the kind of nonsense you get when you have no idea what your talking about. Full autos are not banned. I can purchase one from my local gun shop today if I wanted to.

Assault weapon is a BS term made up by clueless politicians. Using that term makes you look stupid as well. Just letting you know.

You don’t even need an FFL. Full autos are a class 3 firearm no different than suppressors. I have 2 suppressors. I can purchase an M16 from a dealer or from an individual and have a class 3 dealer do the transfer.

No they haven’t. I’ve corrected you on this already. You can go to your local class 3 dealer and purchase an M16 right now.

This is why you shouldn’t discuss topics where you have no idea what you’re talking about.

I, as an individual, can get a class 3 license and purchase a fresh, hot off the assembly line full auto.

Full auto firearms are not, and never have been banned.

So firearms can discharge one round of ammunition with each pull of the trigger. What of it? What ultimate, meaningful difference, does such actually make?

And there is no standard of legal scrutiny under which such an attempt would ever pass constitutional muster. Therefore there is no legitimate reason in discussing such a notion as if it held merit.

The opinions apparently mattered in the Heller, McDonald, and Caetano cases. Each of those cases involved firearm-related restrictions by local governments being overturned, simply because the arguments of the civilians who challenged them were far more convincing than the governments arguing their firearm-related restrictions were justified.

Wow, that would be in violation of federal law titled the Federal Firearms Ownership Protection Act of 1986 public law 99-308, 18 USC sect 922

Apparently you don't have a clue what this is all about. This is not about SS forwarding info about mental health issues, though that would be a major HIPAA volation. Rather, they just decided that any SS recipient who decided to pass their check through a 3rd Party would lose their eligibility to purchase or own a firearm, which is a HUGE stretch from what the law actually says when it comes to guns and mental health. There is so much misintormation on this thread it's unreal.

It is understood the wait time for approval from the ATF on the paperwork can take months to complete. Certainly there would be no purchasing of any fully-automatic firearm on the part of yourself by as early as tomorrow, even under the best of circumstances.
