I don't believe so. Now, it takes a level of sickness to do it, but I do not believe they all have some sort of treatable illness....some folks are simply evil, bitter, and pathetic.

With a very few exceptions, there are very few actual "military guns" in the hands of civilians, so your wish has already been granted.

No it wouldn’t. I said buy, not transfer. The transfer would take between 90-180 days to get the form 4 back.

    I know.

Of course there would be. I just can’t take possession of it until my form 4 comes back. I can still purchase it.

Bunk. There is no such thing as an assault rifle, at least not in this context. It simply means what politicians say it means. An ACTUAL "assault rifle" must be select fire to meet the real definition.

So you have no idea how the class 3 process works? No wonder you’re so confused. You do not have to be an FFL to purchase a full auto manufactured prior to 1986. It’s no different than buying an SBR or suppressor. If manufactured after 1986, then you would have to be a class 3 dealer to purchase one.

It’s outlined in the law...you simply can’t walk down and buy a fully automatic weapon.

It’s ok, we have seen your post before and understand comprehension of law is hard for you, and instead you base your thoughts on your opinions and not reality

Of course you can. I can walk into my local shop this afternoon and buy one. I can’t have it transferred to me until I receive my form 4 back which takes 90-180 on average.

Your ignorance of NFA items is not my problem. I own several NFA items and used to work at a class 3 dealer.

Read and understand what you’re talking about before posting. It will help you avoid embarrassment.

If that is the case then why is the President trying to make it about mental illness.

Now you just sound desperate because your ignorance was exposed. You can not buy, take title to a machine gun by simply walking down to your local gun shop...who I dare say doesn’t have them sitting around for sale anyway

He isn’t...hence why he undid the Obama rule criminalizing mental illness for poor and old people getting SS benefits to pay for treatment.

Many researchers and mental health experts said Trump’s comments contradicted well-established research.

“Mental illness and hatred pull the trigger. Not the gun,” Trump said immediately after the shootings. In the following days, he reiterated that statement, arguing that the United States should reopen mental institutions shuttered decades ago as a way to address mass shootings.

“Research has shown that only a very small percentage of violent acts are committed by people who are diagnosed with, or in treatment for, mental illness,” Rosie Phillips Davis, president of the American Psychological Association, said in a statement.

Strawman. I never said you can take possession same day. I quite specifically, correctly and clearly pointed out that you can purchase one same day, and have to wait 90-180 to transfer.

You remain, as usual, completely proven wrong.

Numerous class 3 dealerships have them on the shelf for sale. We used to sell 1 ever other month.

Doesn't sound like was just blaming mental illness in your quote....you forgot the "and" and what followed.

Sounds like the research agreed with trump...while some is, a lot is simply caused by hate

    Smfh, unbelievable.

The research didn't agree with Trump.

“Research has shown that only a very small percentage of violent acts are committed by people who are diagnosed with, or in treatment for, mental illness,” Rosie Phillips Davis,

“We’re talking to a lot of people and a lot of things are in the works,” Trump said Sunday when asked by a reporter what he was going to do the country's “gun problem.” “We have done much more than most administrations… but perhaps more has to be done. But this is also a mental illness problem. If you look at both of these cases, this is mental illness. These are people that are very, very seriously mentally ill.”

No you didnn't....you said you could go down to your local gun shop and buy one today.

Bottom line, you can go throw your money at a gun shop, but you don't own the gun, you have no title to it.

He referred to mental health and hate....read your own quote again. Are you suggesting those two things don't at all have any impact?

He is focusing on mental illness and you know it and researchers are telling you that it has a VERY small impact.

Here's his quote...that you quoted: “Mental illness and hatred pull the trigger. Not the gun,” Trump said immediately after the shootings.

You are the one that put mental illness in bold, not him....he clearly said mental illness AND hatred.

Did I? Funny how you run from this statement of Pres. Trump.

. But this is also a mental illness problem. If you look at both of these cases, this is mental illness. These are people that are very, very seriously mentally ill.”

And that is correct. I can buy one. Just can’t transfer it, as I’ve repeatedly said.

Bottom line, I can buy a full auto today at my local shop.

I am not, and those cases there was mental illness. But as he said, overall, it’s that and hatred

No you don’t own it, you have no property interest in it.

Unless you have a license you can’t

Who diagnosed these folks as being mentally ill?
