    Now he is The Messiah.

What next? Oh, I know, Denmark, another ally of the US in Afghanistan is nasty because its Leader made the obvious comment that Trump's proposition of buying Greenland is absurd.

    Jayzuz!

That'd be hilarious if he ever had a chance to run for an election here. Not even our righties would vote for him. The Chosen One, indeed. Worse than Assange in the Messiah Stakes!

You guys just don’t get it even after so many subtle and not so hints from us, Conservatives - you’re not supposed to like Trump. In fact, you are supposed to hate his guts; is what you are doing.

A minute one of you lot start praising Trump is when I’ll start worrying.

Is that worse than not knowing how many states are there in the United States?

One was a slip of the tongue, of which Trump has had many and I don't hold it against him. The other is a consistent mistake that appears almost every time Trump discusses trade and is at the core of his ignorant trade war.

No my friend, a slip of the tong it was not. It is impossible for the any American to not know how many states are n the United States. Watch the video - Obama gave it a meaningful thought, and uttered 57.

You, Aussies, secretly admire trump and quietly wish you had him, not Americans. Every evening, after reading news, a lot of conservative Australians look up at the setting sun and sigh, wishing god sent them the chosen one to lead this great country to true glory!
Your life is boring without Trump. What you got? Funnel web spiders. And we got Trump, which makes us tougher!

No one is dumb enough to think Obama actually thought there were 57 states. No one. No more so than Trump actually thought the World Trade Center towers were hit on 7/11. And Obama never inacted any policy under the assumption there were 57 states. But I understand the need to desperately deflect and change the subject when you can't defend your boy.

I do not believe that Obama is not aware that there are 50 states. He was born in Hawaii, the 50th. I think his misstatement was a result of several states having both primaries and caucases. However Trump did think that one of the main battles in The Revolutionary War was to gain control over Logan Airport. He even thought Paul Revere stormed the tower where the air traffic controllers were.

Yeah, what an idiot. By the way, you give me $2 million and I'll give you $1 million back. Sounds awesome to me. Deficits are great!

Yes, that's an idiotic way of looking at trade that was fixed back in 1776 when capitalists realized that's not how trade actually works. You don't trade money for money. You trade money for goods and services that are worth more to you than the money is. That's part of why trade deficits aren't real monetary deficits.

How it works here in the real world is that I give you $2 million for goods and services that are worth more to me than $2 million, and most of that $2 million comes back to me as foreign investments later anyway. You spend another $1 million on my goods and services for the same reason and with the same effect. Hell, Hong Kong got rich running at a trade "deficit" and would be a hell of a lot poorer if they hadn't.

Trade. Creates. Wealth. For. Both. Sides. We've known this since 1776. Trump fell asleep in econ class apparently.

The belief that trade deficits are net losses is based on the superstition that exports are good and imports are categorically bad. All it takes to get over that superstition is a few moments of critical thought, perhaps aided by econ 101.

You are not the first who said that.
All the American republican candidates said that and he run them over.
All the democrat party said that and he run them over.
    Hillery said that and ...
So you are in a good company, you know what they say: a million flys cannot be wrong.

Trump is, ultimately, quintessentially American despite being richer and more famous than most, with all of America's faults for everyone to see. To be sure, there is another, much brighter, side of the coin that is America also. That side is a true picture of what its geography and resources, the best of its ideology and history (both stripped of their worst, which in both cases is awful), and a lot more, could have reserved for it. And to be even more sure, neither of the two political parties, who are both ultimately controlled by interest groups with little interest to see the best rise and the worst vanquished, represent the best in America. But Trump does his best to represent the worst.

I would say he “lost it” only I am unsure he ever “had it” in the first place!

So, he is now claiming to be

    - chosen one
    - king of Israel”
    And
    -“second coming of God”

Does anyone STILL dispute “narcissistic personality”?
