I live on the beach, and even though I can see the rise in water levels on the sea wall, I'll keep my place for another 7 or 8 years, but like Obama, I can afford to write it off completely if the water rises faster. Doesn't mean he doesn't take sea level rise seriously, just means he can write off the investment if it does.

it is disgusting that Obama and the Clintons were able to acquire such vast sums. Before entering the presidency both were upper middle class, somewant rich by most people's standing. That they turned that into a cash cow for selling influence is beyond my tolerance. Presidents were always going to live a comfortable life, selling books and speaking at other politicians rallies, but these guys are obscene. NOw this is not just a dem thing either the republicans are just as bad but the two Bush-s were very wealthy before obtaining office. While the president is the tip of the iceberg the congress is not far behind.
