We also will not strip someone of their rights merely because they have an illness and are getting treatment. If they pose some sort of threat, and the Govt can prove as a result of their mental they are a danger to themselves or others and the individual gets committed against their will or ordered to some sort of treatment then yes. It’s called due process.

Simply putting someone on a criminal database and stripping them of a right because they are getting help themselves and happen to either be poor or elderly and need SS benefits to pay is wrong
