Why are there so few Asian Supremacists?

Too often I have heard White people who make racist arguments claim they are not racist. Obviously they are but here is an interesting fact, there are very few Asian Supremacists. If the arguments of White Supremacists is that their views are based on an objective view of reality when it comes to racial differences e.g. Race & IQ studies, crime statistics, standard of living between countries etc. then why aren't there more Asians who use this same information? The research of racial hereditarians more strongly supports Asian Supremacy but there are not a lot of Asians talking about it. In fact I don't think there is any large website on the internet where you can find Asian Supremacists talking about racial differences.

Asians can be racist just like anyone and some no doubt are but I think the reason for this is that Asians don't have a culture that promotes racism. White Supremacy or White Nationalism is a subculture within the White community. This racist ideology developed over the centuries after the age of exploration and the oppression of people of color including Blacks, Native Americans and Asians. Racism against Asians seems to have subsided within the White Nationalist community although you can still see the use of racial slurs against Asians. It's not as bad as in the 19th and early to mid 20th century where the "Yellow Peril" was considered a serious problem and Western countries fought several wars against Asian countries.

There is no Asian equivalent of Stormfront. There is no Asian equivalent of the KKK. Asians are simply not as racist on average as Whites or at least they don't have as big of a community of Asian Supremacists as White Supremacists. This is a prime example of the power of culture on the mind of people. White Supremacists were either raised racist or influenced by the culture of White racism that already existed.

    Do anyone disagree?

In the 1930's and 1940's the Japanese believed that forcing the Greater Eastern Asia Co-prosperity Sphere on other Asian cultures was justified because the Japanese were the master race and genetically superior to other races. The Khan dynasties in Mongolia in the 11th and 12th centuries justified their slaughters because other races were inferior. The existence of other race supremacists would suggest that race supremacy is more than anything else a matter of keeping power and influence over others.

By the way, there are Japanese supremacist groups and the Japanese government has banned Japanese Supremacist symbols. If you look at race relationships in Indonesia, minority Chinese are victims of overt racism. In western Asia, Khurds and Baluchis are persecuted on a regular basis by the better races. I think race supremacy occurs throughout the world.

I agree with this and said as much in my opening posts. There are Asian Supremacists. There is a history of systemic racism in Asia. I would argue however that while individuals can be racist Asians don't have the subculture of racism that White people have, especially White people in America.

I lived in Asia for several years. My observations:

    1) Asians say plenty of racist things in their own languages. I could link to and translate several examples.

    2) Immigration policies in Asian countries discourage diversity. They like to keep their countries racially pure. Google how few refugees Korea and Japan accept each year. Compare that to how many European countries accept.

    3) There are no anti-discrimination laws in Asian countries. Sometimes businesses ban minorities and or charge them higher prices. It is not illegal. If you get into a legal dispute with a local you could be SOL. Wendell Brown was sentenced to four years in a Chinese prison for defending himself in a bar fight.

Asian racial supremacy was about Japanese supremacy over other Asian ethnic groups such as the Chinese and Koreans. The Japanese imperialists in the colonial era assumed that they were the leading race in Asia with a grand mission to lead other Asian nations they ruled over to prosperity (i.e. Taiwan, Korea).

The Tokyo metropolitan government adopted an ordinance banning hate speech in 2018 to protect Korean minorities in Tokyo. A similar bylaw was passed in Osaka where Korean minorities live in great numbers. Before that, there was not hate speech law in Japan but the rise of anti-Korean hate groups on 2chan prompted local authorities to regulate hate speech. They are very close to white supremacists on 4chan. On the contrary, the Korean government actually encourages anti-Japan activism and tens of thousands staged anti-Japan rallies in August to profess their hatred towards Japan.

You are aware that an attack took place in Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 --- correct?

    ⁜→ Mr_Truth, et al,

We should, in asking such questions, consider two perspectives.

    (COMMENT)

◈ We should remember that events such as Pearl Harbor were over a half centry ago. While great history, not good really relevant in today's world. Look at who the largest trade partners of the United States are:

✦ 10 out of the top 25 Trading Partners are in either East Asia (China the Largest, Japan. South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia), South Asia (India):

    headings.png Top 25 US Trading Partners.png
✦ The top 10 most important allies of America are: (Two of which are in East Asia)

    • Canada*
    • UK*
    • Israel
    • France
    South Korea (East Asia)
    • Australia*
    Japan (East Asia)
    • Germany
    • Poland
    • Philippines
◈ The two principle opponents in World War II are now two of the most significant allies, militarily and economically:

    ✦ Germany (Axis Power)
    ✦ Japan (Axis Power)

As time passes, so do the key factors which shape the world. Once the US was a major world leader. Now, the claim to be the Leader of the Free World, is nothing more than a hollow and empty boast.

There has always been a pattern on this forum where right wingers continually mention Arab/Muslim persecution of others over the centuries to reflect what (in the views of the posters) is a history of hate, repression, imperialism, etc. When people like me reply and mention the fact that Christian history is longer and infinitely more repressive in those regards, the righties suddenly go silent.

Yes, it is true that Pearl Harbor is history. But it is hardly unique and other posters have mentioned historical parallels which show that Asian imperialism was, at times, likely worse than Western imperialism. That Mongol and Hun invasions of the West were far from tame but were brutal and terribly repressive. That Pearl Harbor, as horrible as it was, was "minor" compared to the horrendous invasion of Manchuria and other parts of Asia. There are other historical examples which show that the premise of the OP is flawed.

I appreciate the scholarship you have shown on this forum so it would not surprise me if you have read Clavell's Noble House [1986]*. Recall in the narrative how Hong Kong Chinese viewed Westerners as "barbarians" and "inferiors". One line that always stuck in my mind was how a tea server would known for spitting into the tea urn when serving to Westerners because he (despite his low station in life) viewed them as inferiors. Those same people viewed Japanese as "little brown devils". In the novel and in other fictional accounts, certain Asians who believe in their supremacy over others whether they be Westerners or others. This may account for why Japan and China have always insisted on imposing tariffs on Western goods while demanding that the West refrain from imposing such financial burdens on their products.

I am sure you are aware of the now legally discredited caste system that existed in India. While it is no longer legally de jure, it remains in existence de facto.

Thus, history is replete with examples which show there have always been Asian supremacists.

It's simply because it doesn't take the same shape than white supremacist.

First, there is a lot of ideas that are quite common among far east people that are simply barely imaginable by westerners.
For instance, most japanese and chinese consider only the ethnic state. That's quite common for a lot of countries, either eastern european or asian, but if you're not an ethnic japanese or an ethnic chinese, you will never be a "true" chinese or japanese.
I knew some half japanese who told me that japanese people didn't considered them as "true japanese", because they were only "half" japanese. It's possible it changed the last decade, I don't have a precise idea how things evolved.

For a lot of Japanese or Chinese people, the idea of a white or a black japanese/chinese is simply ridiculous.

I'm speaking only of China and Japan, it's different for countries like Malaysia or Indonesia because there is diverse ethnic groups in those countries, but I have no precise idea how it is.

The ethnic conception of nationality is much more wide spread around the world. It's globally absent of both north and south africa because those are recent countries, western european countries tend to be influenced by the american model.
For Africa, it's different, but the reality of african ethnic groups remain very strong, and discriminations between black african according to their ethnic group remain common in some countries.
As far as I know, the idea that nationalty is more related to a bunch of values is more an american exception, that tend to spread around the world.

I don't have a precise idea how much those ideas still exist, but until the 1945, the idea that chinese and japanese were "divine" people were common, it was central to japanese imperialistic idea. I red a long time ago that a chinese philosopher consider that the most afar a country were from china, the most "barbaric" it was. In the 19th century, China considered non asian, european included, as barbarian.
Both Japan and China had extremly xenophobic policies until the 19th century. USA forced Japan to open their borders, and it was during the very humiliating "opium war" that the chinese had to open their borders. The western countries forgot those humiliating war for China, they didn't.
I know we rarely think of them when we speak of "asian", apparently in Hinduism, Indian, especially hindus tend to think themselves as a "chosen" people..

I'm far to be an expert on asian culture. To know about racism on asia, you would need a book written by multiple authors.

Globally, and I'm sorry to say that, but I think that you're totally wrong. Racism do exist in Asia, you just don't know about this, especially there is no equivalent to multiracial countries in this region of the world as USA or western european countries.

I did mention that Western countries fought wars against Eastern countries and I am aware of the supremacist ideology in Imperial Japan. However whatever racist attitudes they and other countries have seemed to have subsided. White Supremacy remains a subculture in the Western world at large but especially within America. Like I said there is no Asian website like Stormfront. No Asian KKK. No "Yellow Nationalists" equivalent to White Nationalists that promote racist ideology and have a large following. Can you find me an Asian equivalent of Jared Taylor? How about a book written by an Asian academic racist similar to Rushton's Race, Evolution and Behavior? I mean racial hereditarians who promote a racial hierarchy in intelligence based on IQ research are almost all White. I think all of the popular ones are White. Any racial hereditarians in Asia are so fringe as to not show up on the radar. There simply doesn't seem to be a modern culture of Asian Supremacy anywhere near the level of White Supremacy.

Any Asian Supremacists that existed in the past seem to have come and gone a long with the political movement that sprung them. The Nazis rose and fell but Neo-Nazism is a thing. After their defeat in World War II the racist attitudes of the Japanese seemed to have evaporated. Now I'm not saying that racism doesn't exist in Asia or Asian communities or that they aren't xenophobic or bigoted. I am saying that there is no widespread culture of Asian Supremacists that I am aware of. I would not consider the caste system in India by the way to be relevant to this conversation but I am aware that racism exists in other regions of the world.

@Obamamania You're much less likely to developp resentment toward someone you don't frequent.
Asian never coexisted with black people and they had very few diplomatic contacts with african. Most asian countries are almost mono ethnic.
Asian are much more nationalist on average than most american/western european.

I already answered to the rest of what you said in my other posts. Like you says, there is no racism that you are "aware of".

Everybody already knows that Asians are far smarter than white people, right at the top of the intellectual heap in colleges, and generally do far better in life than white, black, Hispanic and other races of people.

Harvard don't want Asians because they are too smart, and Asians are suing Harvard so they can get a fair break on entrance and matriculation.

They can all tell a noun from a verb and explain all twelve or thirteen verb tenses in the English language, depending on which textbooks they used.

Evaporated? Then explain to me why Japanese school history textbooks still refuse to instruct children on the horrible depredations imposed upon China?

The caste system is relevant because it reflects an imposed social stratification based on racial/ethnic origin which exists to this day. Even in the USA we do not have anything this discriminatory.

The Chinese say 300,000 were killed in Nanking, which is more than the entire population of Nanking at the time (250,000). But we know now that there was the Nanking Safety Zone which sheltered and saved up to 200,000 Chinese civilians. John Rabe said that the number of civilian casualties was 50,000.

The Nanking incident is relegated to a footnote in a record of history but almost every high school textbook does mention it as a requirement. China puts too much emphasis on the incident to play the victim card.

Always look backward a bit to take in the good, the bad, and the ugly, but don't dwell on it, move the hell forward and onward and try to win for your country.

Did it ever occur to you that the Asian-White IQ gap is cultural in cause and not genetic?

These Asian scientists presented evidence that the cause is cultural which supports my point in this thread....racial hereditarians clearly have a racist agenda and their motivation for claiming racial hierarchies in intelligence are cultural given that the majority of them are White and Asians don't seem to support this research in large numbers even though they are at the top of the hierarchy.

But if it isn't the truth then you are simply promoting pseudoscience. Genetic research is not on your side.

The cause of racial IQ gaps is 100% Environmental and cultural. This is the conclusion of most modern scientists who have investigated the topic. Only a handful of fringe academic racists say otherwise.

I would not consider omissions or revisionism in textbooks to be any sort of overt or intentional racism even though I understand how insensitive that subject is for the Chinese.

When I talk about racism and the lack of overt Supremacist belief in Japan and Asia in general I'm talking about promoting the belief that your race is superior. While not non-existent this belief is simply not popular in Asia. Given the Asian-White IQ gap and Asians being a competitor with Western countries politically, militarily and economically you would think that Asians would invest more time in promoting this type of research for their own interests. Surely the Japanese with their history of domination over their Asian neighbors which many regard as a Supremacist sentiment would want to stick it to those round eyed gaijin by claiming their race is mentally superior.

I believe the reason why they generally do not is because the Japanese and other Asian nationalities don't have the cultural interest in racism that America and Western countries do.

I don't feel that it is relevant because I don't consider people from India to be East Asians who are the topic of this thread. Also I have already acknowledged that racism exists outside of the Western world. The Hindu caste system is a good example.

Also I do agree that part of the reason for racism being more popular in the West is because Western societies are less monolithic. This is especially true for America as there have been different races in the country throughout its entire history but also true for Europe where racist sentiment is growing as European countries experience immigration from Africa and the Middle East. Bigotry exists in all cultures. Racism is a specific form of bigotry based on superficial physical characteristics and the assumption that they are correlated with mental and cultural characteristics.

Part of the reason racism persists in the West is because racist theories were taught for centuries. Racism is ingrained in Western culture which despite a move toward embracing Egalitarianism has created a subculture of White Supremacy.

"Did it ever occur to you that the Asian-White IQ gap is cultural in cause and not genetic?"

That could matter less. The sum total is that Asians know they can out-compete anybody fair and square, toe to toe. They don't have any need for racism or to try to hold others down by policy (like is being done to them by jealous losers) because of their outstanding, excellent ability. The truth is that Asians are simply the best, by far. Asians are the great winners in the life of the world, simply amazing.

If the cause is cultural then any group can adopt the customs that make them successful (studying and hard work). If you accept that then we have nothing to debate. If you want to believe in Asian overlords with amazing mental abilities that is your business. I have made my point that the racist subculture of White Supremacy in America and the Western world is a cultural phenomenon.

True. If you grow up in the Philippines eating out of garbage dumps you likely won't get a chance to bring your superior ability to the forefront.
