The oil boom happened in spite of Obama since the shale oil boom started just when he took office.

Obama just wanted the US to do fracking the way the rest of the world had done it for 50 years... safely, genius.

LOL, Obama was the Climate Change President. Trying to whitewash his legacy is just dumb.

Of course climate change is real. It's just a really small increase in temps that won't do much besides raising ocean levels slightly. Not the catastrophe that authoritarians on the Left are hoping for so they can reorder society to be Venezuela super-sized.

So you think fracking is a good thing. Excellent. Then why do you go ballistic on Trump when it's the Democrats who are going to ban it? I understand that you can't be reasonable on this topic, but I'm curious how you'll respond.

Fascinating. I hear climate scientists say again and again that they do not see humans surviving a rise of 4 degrees.

Yes, they do claim that. Do you think temps will get that high?

If you do, let me quiz you a bit to see how knowledgeable you are (don't worry if you don't know the answer, I've yet to find one climate change worrier who did):

When the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has doubled in concentration over what it was at the start of the Industrial Revolution, how much will temperatures rise just from the effect of the CO2 alone (no feedbacks)?

You can see how important it is to know that fact and yet so many opine on the dangers of AGW without knowing it.

If we don't change how we have been acting without any doubt. One example the amount of ice which has melted in Greenland this year was not expected till 2050.

I doubt we will work in time. People are already suffering from it. Humans sure were stupid animals but that is not the subject of the thread. I am not interested in being quizzed by you. It does not take much change in temperature to make the world uninhabitable for all species including humans was my point.

LOL, the European heat wave went over Greenland for 5 days causing the high melt this year. Right now it is back to normal. If you think one year is a trend then you are not very well versed in this.

What I said was that the amount of melt in Greenland this year was not expected till 2050. What is the number something like 9 out of the last ten years being the hottest on record. You should check out when it is expect that the US will start going on a roll to each year being hotter than the last. I can tell you it is way ahead of the UK which is 2056. 4 degrees warming. Human ife impossible.

So you're content to not know the answer on, according to you, a life-threatening crisis. How typically Leftist.

Leftists don't really think it's a crisis, they just want to take advantage of any problem so they can call it a crisis, and then impose their insane authoritarian politics on the world.

And the answer to the quiz is: When CO2 has doubled, temps will rise [drumroll] 1 °C:

Without feedbacks the radiative forcing of approximately 3.7 W/m2, due to doubling CO2 from the pre-industrial 280 ppm, would eventually result in roughly 1 °C global warming. This is easy to calculate[note 2][7] and undisputed
That's it! One frickin' degree. All the angst comes from worrying about feedbacks that will occur from such a small increase. And scientists still don't understand many of the crucial elements that will contribute to the feedback, so they're winging it. And getting it wrong repeatedly.

Since it was first established 15 years ago, the USCRN, a reference weather station network set up in sites that aren't subject to the problems the legacy weather stations face (mostly heat island effects), has seen no discernible warming in the United States. Crisis avoided apparently.

So no argument about what I said. You appear just to be interested in stereotyping and abuse. Not my thing.

I did answer your post with the part about the USCRN. There's been no discernible warming when monitored by reliable weather stations. So all the "hottest year on record" stats don't mean a thing when the records themselves are unreliable.

Now, to make it less triggering I have changed my post so you won't feel abused.

Care to respond to the post now?

When did you first hear the term "fracking"?

LOL, you keep making unfounded claims based on ignorance of the science. For one, the alarmist claims are based on the worst case/least likely computer scenario. Unfortunately for you, observed science isn't playing along.

Here you go, a picture of total Greenland Ice Mass. The alarmist claims are about summer warming which is variable for many reason and make folks like you think the world is ending.

BTW, mankind always benefits from warming and it has been warmer before. Cold kills 10 times more than heat waves do. You best hope the next glacial period never starts but history tells us it is inevitable.

Right now global supply is far exceeding global demand.

Dude... the US companies who drill for oil are not going to give US customers a buy a galon get a galon free deal. They are going to pay the price for oil just like everybody else. That's capitalism. And eventually, the fracking in the US is causing a massive environment hazard. That's why people are against it.

So little understanding of Capitalism. US companies will sell at the highest price possible. And if there's a glut in supply, as there has been since June, prices will drop. How can you not know this? What makes fracking so wonderful is not that prices drop, but that we're no longer susceptible to OPEC bullying.

So you agree with the loony Democrat candidates that want to ban fracking? That's going to be a big talking point for Republican ad campaigns come 2020. Hope you have your singing voice ready when it's time to scream at the sky in 2021.

And that is what I've been saying.

This is about refined oil exports, not what they drag out from the dirt. OPEC still dominates this. And fracking is relatively expensive. When oil prices drop = fracking becomes less appealing.
