Your sources don't establish that Syrians "love and adore Assad." Some sources, like Global Research, are known for their bias.

I gave you enough variety in sources not to bother with someone who doesn't like the message, shooting the messenger. As for "loving" Assad, I certainly hope the Syrian people leave such emotions for their families and dear personal acquaintances. Political leaders such as Assad should be content with the sentiments in his favor and Assad should look for love from his wife and family.

What is the agenda? A two-state solution? Annexing most of the West Bank? Unconditional U.S. support for Israel?
Upending the dollar as the currency to settle international payments, for example, would reduce our standard-of-living, but it wouldn't "kill the golden goose" of international trade.
    Yes, and...?

You seem to want to insist on dragging me in this conversation, so I will expand a bit on it.

1- The PNAC agenda finds its origins in ultra Zionist Jews who had dreams of Greater Israel writing a white paper for Netanyahu in 1996 called the Clean Break: A Strategy for Securing the Realm. As forecast or hinted in that white paper, these folks did manage to work out an alliance with the military industrial complex as well and, in a few short years, PNAC was born. It was a project that, in the name of a new American Century premised to secure energy supplies from the Middle East in anticipation of greater competition for those supplies with the rise in demand from places like China, actually was motivated primarily by taking out Israel's enemies. One by one. And also undercutting other "noisy" and "pesky" institutions and power centers that would stand on the way of US/Israeli hegemony in the region, including the UN, the EU, while also leaving enough attention for potential rivals and challengers to such domination, especially Russia and China.
2- If you are as heavily invested in the health of the US economy, and the US dollar, being ultimately a mercantile state that deals and trades in that currency, and which holds a lot of American bonds, the collapse of the US dollar would reduce the value of your investments and also adversely affect (in the short term) your ability to sell your goods around the world as that would also cause a world wide recession in all places which are interconnected and linked to the global economic system which has the US and the US dollar at its helm.

Anyway, when we can't seem to agree on simple facts (the kind -- such as polls regarding Assad's popularity -- which I would ordinarily suggest you check in the library, reserving debate for ideas), I am under no illusion we will be agreeing on issues that touch on each of our fundamental viewpoints on the nature of geopolitical relations at this time and in this day and age. Hence, my reluctance to be draw too deeply in this subject right now.

The best proof is that he is still the leader of Syria! He hasn't been assassinated, he didn't commit suicide and he didn't flee either.

Oh, and what have you got that it is not so? Zero, zilch, nothing!

President Assad has been elected president 3 times since he first took office in 2000. The most recent election was held in 2014 where he again won by a landslide vote of 88.7%

KEY POINT: In light of the fact that Assad has always been elected by overwhelming majorities, it’s evident that the seditious Syrian opposition was bought and bribed by foreign entities such as the C.I.A., MI6 and MOSSAD.

You still have presented evidence the Syrians "love and adore their leader."

So far, they are still there. There is talk to perhaps relocate them to little "goodie-two-shoes" Poland.

And they better take their toys with them...
Member of the German Parliament Bundestag Dietmar Bartsch has told the German editorial network RND that the German government should “absolutely accept” US Ambassador Richard Grenell’s offer and not only discuss a plan to pull out US troops from Germany but also try to get rid of Washington’s nuclear weapons in the country.

75 years of occupation is more than the police allows!!

Great stuff...are you watching Etugral on Netflix? I am in the fourth season right now. History of the Turks and the Ottoman Empire....wonderful acting and costumes along with incredible plot twists, every episode is filled with love, betrayal and teachings on the meaning of the Koran. I highly recommend it.

Your understanding of the Crusades is mistaken. The Crusaders were ruthless killers, rapists and conquerers, no mercy or quarter given. They even invaded Constantinople when it was the seat of the Holy Roman Empire and forced the leaders to flee to Nicea. No sir, there was no basis or justification for the Crusades other then pure evil.

The writing was on the wall.

Clinton had eight years to take care of the Saddam Hussein problem.

Before 9-11-01 the most evil person in the world was Saddam Hussein.

Saddam Hussein appeared on "South Park" 13 times.

I love history, especially military history. I'll give it a shot, but I don't expect to learn much or any real history.

That's right! And why must Assad go? What do the Americans have against him? I think I know... he is an ally of Iran! Israel doesn't like that and is bombing without restraint multiple targets in Syria, claiming they are Iranian installations. How can that be legitimate under international law?

Oh look, more Progressives/Communists trying to use the actions of the Deep State to claim "America is Evil!!!!"

    Get off it.

The Bush's Clinton's and Obama's were all basically the same group, literally sucking money out of the US to try to spread their ideas around the world.

We are done with that, Trump is now beholden to his supporters and his supporters DEMAND no new wars.

Democrats are working with Iran to start a war, likely just to get Trump to go to war and piss of his supporters
