I think this would be an acceptable reaction, had the President or VP been there to hear it. They weren't so I would not boo.

No, even children know that the geographic size of a county or state marked off on a map does not mean there is more population in this or that area.

The purpose of the map was not to deceive people but to show that areas of Oregon outside the few population centers tend to vote Republican. This is the case in many states.

 

And that partisan ignorance is the reason this country is in the shape it;s in. Stupid, ignorant people who more stock in the letter next to someone's name than who they are as individuals.

 

Actually the vote tally for Oregon was 934,631 for Hillary and 742,506 for Trump.

It should be noted to who ever cares...if it wasn't for the democrats in those red areas that voted for Hillary those blue areas of that map would not have been enough votes to give Hillary the win in Oregon.

No county in any State is completely blue or red. No matter what simplistic maps say. However the idea behind States to begin with is that rural areas have an equal vote to more populace areas. I think both sides tend to forget this...be it conveniently or by mistake. Though it is of my opinion that one side tends to know and simply doesn't care because they see power in the more populated areas and if they can just ignore, by hook or by crook, those less populated areas then they will...gladly. Because they really only care about their power to push their agenda. Of course what's ironic about that is its the same side that advocates for minorities....but only approved minorities that they can exploit.

 

Trump's job is to secure the country, the wall does that. It's better money spent than the billions Obama wasted on green energy that mostly went to companies controlled by his donors. Being surrounded by water, you don't have to worry so much about millions of uneducated, unskilled, unemployed people coming into your country.

You know 1/3 of the businesses that have the name Trump simply license his name. Trump has nothing to do with the day to day operation. Currently there are 750 businesses in the Trump organization. How many businesses have you owned? How many people have you employed?

Last I remember some of the licensed ones went belly up, the golf course Bowerbird posted about was one. Anyone who owns that many businesses would be expected to have a few go under.

 

They may have had the political and legal right; but it certainly was an inappropriate venue to display their displeasure with Trump—the few agreeing to defend the right for some to be behave as ungrateful asoles ought to be applauded, not booed.

BTW: One’s doesn’t pledge allegiance to a personality, i.e., Trump, one pledges allegiances to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of America in defense of liberty.

It is so utterly shocking to see Trump supporters act like that isn't it? When every left winger with any kind of power screeches incessantly about how evil white men are, it is utterly shocking that white men would treat those left wingers as an existential threat. Who would have thunk that would happen?

 

You have to try to put yourself in the shoes of the average Leftist, whack off significant IQ points, and remove X% of the general knowledge and critical thinking skills that average people in the private sector either have innately or are trained to develop through meaningful work. Then it becomes easy to rationalize bottom-dweller behavior like this at public events that have only the weakest political tangents. TDS is a symptom of a cultural mental disease that runs much deeper.

 

What a lame rationalization of crappy behavior. How would you feel if you were one of those young people or their parents/family/friends who came to see them honored?

 

Want to add here that there are reasonable grounds for booing stuff, and they all entail direct effects on the audience in question. For example "X performer didn't show for the $200 ticket event and instead sent a stand-in, there will be no refunds." Comedy shows or other events that directly solicit audience reactions. "The commission is raising admission to Y public facility by 100%." Stuff like that directly affecting the audience.

Booing at other things just signals a medieval street peasant mentality we should have grown past as a civilization by now, regardless of whether one agrees with a ceremony or local public event.

EDIT: Also on a tangent that has been raised as a typically ignorant, dishonest leftist derail in the thread, the "Trump Bankruptcies" lie narrative has been disproven many, many times on this forum, and never adequately refuted. Of the hundreds of Trump businesses, only a handful have ever utilized Chapter 11, which is restructruring, not "going belly up" as in Chapter 7, WHICH TRUMP HAS NEVER FILED. The ignorance of even basic parts of U.S. law that Leftists display, and then their persistent repetition of the resulting lies from their sewer pipe sources is one big reason they lose and lose, will continue losing.

 

No wonder the MSM didn't cover this story!

 

It's just an illustration of the insanity out there, people cannot suppress their hatred for Trump, even at what is supposed to be a relaxing, recreational, and entertaining event. People afflicted with TDS have become unhinged, suffering one manic episode after another.

 

Just to be clear, if Obama were POTUS when this ceremony took place, and similar booing resulted, it would be just as childish and obnoxious. But I don't recall much of that, certainly NONE of it in similar ceremonies in my deep red locale. It would have made local headlines and been strongly castigated, may even result in "booers" being kicked out of the venue by security, despite my area voting overwhelmingly against Obama both elections.
