Oh yeh that a convincing pile, people are lining up leaving the families and homes behind to study atheology and join the neoatheist club

then you dont know what a fact is, its based on reason and proofs using logic, all I see once again is woo woo from the neoatheist group out here, not so much as one logical proof what so ever.

If you want to sound like an academic, at least make an attempt to write like one.

I write at a level commensurate to the capabilities of the readers here. Hell they dont even know what a neoatheist is they ask me to crayola it for them, thats how they answer the tough questions! 8)

Yes consistent, no one here has been able to counter argue my pulling the rug out from under the way neoatheists comprehend einee weenies meta physics.

That has nothing to do with what I described. You turned it into something different.

This also has nothing to do with what I described.

From the link that you provided, I see that you took the most lopsided viewpoint available, in contrast to the outlook towards the end:

Now, in a recent breakthrough, we have devised an approach that uses currently available quantum computers to compile their own quantum algorithms. That will avoid the massive computational overhead required to simulate quantum dynamics on classical computers.

Because this approach yields shorter algorithms than the state of the art, they consequently reduce the effects of noise. This machine-learning approach can also compensate for errors in a manner specific to the algorithm and hardware platform. It might find, for instance, that one qubit is less noisy than another, so the algorithm preferentially uses better qubits. In that situation, the machine learning creates a general algorithm to compute the assigned task on that computer using the fewest computational resources and the fewest logic gates. Thus optimized, the algorithm can run longer.

This method, which has worked in a limited setting on quantum computers now available to the public on the cloud, also takes advantage of quantum computers’ superior ability to scale-up algorithms for large problems on the larger quantum computers envisioned for the future.

New work with quantum algorithms will give both experts and nonexperts the tools to perform calculations on a quantum computer. Application developers can begin to take advantage of quantum computing’s potential for accelerating execution speed beyond the limits of conventional computing. These advances may bring us all several steps closer to having robust, reliable large-scale quantum computers to solve complex real-world problems that bring even the fastest classical computers to their knees.

He was so good at it, he became buddies with the prime minister.

A book by a different author paints a very different picture. However, from my own observation of Geller's performance, it looks like he has a hard time bending a spoon. I saw him depend too much on shaking it back and forth; almost enough to weaken anything.

Thank you for establishing that you do NOT know the actual meaning of the term fallacious and for confirming that you cannot have understood the Constitution when you read it because there is NOTHING in it that supports your fallacious allegations.

That is what is known as a WORK-AROUND!

When you KNOW that you have faults in a system you build in REDUNDANCY so that you can WORK AROUND the parts that causing problems.

This is NOT a new concept. The earliest electrical computers used VALVES that were notorious for failing. Engineers would replace 1000 out of a total of 8000 valves every single day on those computers. Because of this KNOWN FAILURE they added REDUNDANCY in the form of a CHECK BIT. What this means is that if a "word" in a computer consists of 8 BITS they add an EXTRA 9th BIT which they use as validate the "word" before using it. The concept being that if you add the 8 bits in the word then the result will always have a BINARY on or off position which is stored in the 9th check bit. When you want to use that word you first add it up again to ensure that it matches the check bit. If it matches then all is fine and if it doesn't then something has failed and that word is disabled until the engineers get to retest all the valves and replace the broken ones.

This concept still exists in modern computers only it is done automatically by the hardware and the operating system instead of engineers.

What they are now doing with Quantum computers is exactly the same principle as explained above but it is still just a WORK-AROUND. The CAUSE of the problem still exists and nothing that you posted refuted what I said. Even just the cooling fans could cause vibrations that cause decoherence in a system that sensitive. Someone standing in the room could cause it too because their heatbeat and breathing would be sufficient to induce these vibrations. The thoughts in their head would have no impact at all.

    **misuse**
    **run-on**

    Bulverism Fallacy.

No need to. Philosophy is the study of how and why we reason. Books/websites/etc. do not define words.

I know what a fact is. YOU are the one who doesn't.

A fact is simply "shorthand predicate". That's all a fact is.

WRONG. Facts need not be "known to be" or "proven" true.

Dictionaries do not define words. They are not an authoritative source for word definitions. They also often times contradict one another.

    Precisely.

He claimed that every assertion within my post was fallacious. I asked him to define fallacious. He ignored that request and then claimed denial on my part and claimed that I didn't know what the word means (which was projection on his part). I then provided him with the definition and haven't heard anything back. Quite typical, since these types of people deny logic and philosophy.

    Argument of the Stone Fallacy.

You can't dismiss an argument as "absurd" without counterargument.

Define "fallacious". (hint: I already quite literally told you what it means).

Why bother with such archaic computer struggles. Where did you get such info which is now relatively ancient technology? I doubt if you know what you're talking about. I'm not a computer wiz, but the 9th bit when set high or low is used to designate the other 8 bits as either data or address. I doubt if the 9th bit is ever used as a checksum for the other 8 bits. Checksums are separate lumps of data used to verify file contents.

It is obvious that your responses are usually geared towards finding tangential scenarios as an oblique argument to contradict an issue that you dispute. Such responses show creative resourcefulness but are nothing but clever evasive constructions.

What you have depicted as the rampant oversensitivity of quantum computers seems outlandish, as if they might need massive lead shields and anti-vibration shock mounts to counter vulnerability to decoherence caused by surrounding energy influences.
