I often find those in trades (joinery, roofing, bricklaying etc..) voted to leave. I heard yesterday, a growing number of tradesmen when they go to a customer's house to measure, have been bumping the quotes up if the owner's car has an EU symbol on the cars number plate!!

It was common practice to bump up prices due to how expensive they car was, now it's if you have an EU badge!!

I'm pinching that idea and will add 30% for starters. Let's sting the idiots in the pocket, and if you're a leaver with an EU badge, you get stung by not changing your number plates!!

No problem because the crap the Doomsters dribble on with never materialises. Just like this, 'The UK needs the EU trade". Utter load or bollox.

Sounds as though you're a victim to their BS.

Prove it! Let's see a factual explanation of how trade with EU will not be effected and will not create more unemployment in the UK.

Otherwise yours is just more senseless blah-blah-blah typical of knotheads without the slightest cogent argument ...

    You get me wrong.
    I agree with you.
But the political show in the UK will be great comedy, with a rather sad end.
Not only will it end up in economically hardship, but it has and will do great damage to the political system.
    Self destruction.

Yes, indeed, the consequences are highly apparent.

Which is why I cannot understand how a people, who are typically pragmatic, have given such blind support to a wanker like Johnson.

He's been an outcast since his early days reporting wholly ineptly out of Brussels on the EU. One would think, "The EU is a done thing and it works well, so let's move on".

But no, more than half the Brit-electorate wants to throw in the towel to the EU. The largest and closest export-block with which Britain has historical ties! Meaning it takes no great chances exchanging products/services with the EU, its major trading-partner - see value breakdown by country here.

It's not the least bit understandable or pragmatic and remains wholly unconscionable ...

I must apologize if I misunderstood you. Things get that way when - all the time, all the time, all the time - an exchange is reduced to one-liners that are pathetically hairbrained.

What we have here is Message Board, not really a Debate Forum. Still, it's good that we can kick-around points-of-view. Whereas before we had to wait for some dunderhead of a politico (no I did not mention the Dork's name, did I?) to stir the shat.

Yes, the debate can get very confusing - and it's then when it's best to break it off and move-on. Which some people cannot accept. And I am a sinner in that respect as much as anyone else ...

No deal equates to no money, so the EU can shove that idea if they think they're getting paid out. The idiots.

    WHO NEEDS WHO MORE?

Reductio ad absurdum = a method of proving the falsity of a premise by showing that its logical consequence is absurd or contradictory.

The logical consequence of Brexit is a reduction in exports to Britain's major export-customer - the EU. Which will result in reduced employment and thus unemployment-rate rises.

Which time will tell inevitably, because an economically blind-people like you need to see the truth the hard-way.

The rest of Europe should not care less. The reduction in exports to the UK, due to grossly enlarged import-duties, will pass. Europe's basic fortunes are determined by its internal economy. Finally, from the BBC itself is this following commentary - which is clear and justifies that the entire article be read here: Does the EU need us more than we need them?
PS: More than 10,000 Brits living in France have reportedly asked for French citizenship. I wonder why ...

Let's face facts. Brexit has shown that the at least half the British voting population don't give a damn about the rest of Europe. Except for the occasional beer-fest on a beach in Spain or Greece before skedaddling back "home".

So be it. But, that means the Brits must learn economics the hard way. The agglomeration of any market typically makes that market more profound and functional - and its constituents more richer than poorer. The Brits seem to want to hide behind the pound-sterling a bit longer.

Some stubbornly benighted people must learn the hard way. And that we shall all witness together: How some of the most sensible people in Europe can trip over a profound love for the pound-sterling.

Well worth a doctorate dissertation in the psychology of economics - yeserie!

    Moving right along ...

    Sorry, I missed your reply.

You are both right and wrong. A representative democracy creates two types of politicians, MP's in our parliament.

    1) Those who get out and listen to their constituents and represent their constituents in parliament.

    2) Those who believe they have been elected by their constituents to go to parliament and decide what's best for them.

Now, both are valid, I favour MP1 and you favour MP2.

So what's the problem in parliament? Well, the problem is because of MP2 vote what they want, not what the majority of the people wanted. So the minority rule the majority. This is tyranny. Now, I don't know if you knew that but I prefer not to live under a tyrannical government, or the starts of a tyrannical government.

By all means call it hogwash, but the current chaos is because of this and often leads to violence, uprising, assassinations etc... In a society, in politics; either represent the majority or rule by tyranny.

Which, upon the first instance, they understand how there was such a large number who voted against them, and they can off course be forgot; and
in the second they kiss-ass (along with the baby) hoping that nobody is really paying any attention whatsoever to what they are doing in London.

In no nation on earth does any have to go to a "parliament" anywhere. It's just a boys-club excuse for getting reelected, stroking one another's back and making a lifetime career as a "parliamentarian".

    From here:
Not bad for doing eff-all and messing about with Brexit that will increase with the coming enlargement of the Unemployment Rate that has already begun. And puts an end to the reduction in the rate this past year (May to July) ...

*The average salary in the UK is £35,058 a year.

Sorry, not too sure how that fits other than, all politicians are just in it for the money.

In a big standard democracy, everyone in the UK is entitled to go to Parliament and declare their case, vote etc.. but the problem is, people work, have committments etc.. so attending parliament is not viable. Obviously if a million people went at the same time, they ain't gonna fit into parliament. So you have to have representatives of the people to go on their behalf.

In the UK, they're called MP's and in America, Senators (I think). But if an MP or Senator votes in Parliament/Senate the way they want to as opposed to what their voters want, you end up with a minority of representatives ruling the majority, that's tyranny and it's what's caused the chaos in the UK politics. If it angers too many nut jobs in the public, that's when violence with kick off. These tyrants are raising the tension.

All I can say is, don't follow the news on Brexit, it's misleading. And never ever follow what's on the BBC, it's a corrupt lefty corporation propaganda machine.

I assume you knew that anyhow.

And just when did you buy that "pap"? In secondary-schooling?

IF YOU BELONG TO A POLITICAL PARTY, then you just might get elected to parliament. But otherwise NOT SO ... !

Not sure where 'big' came from, it's direct democracy. Read up on direct democracy and representative democracy, then report back.

So basically the ruling class of the UK is doing what the deep state is doing here, saying screw the will of the voter, you will do what we decree you do. Making a mockery of 'voting'.

Just remember, aint no fun when the rabbit has the gun.

Patent mental numbness. I know the difference.

Just try explaining how it makes any difference at all. Because so far you haven't.
