Why do you ask that of others? You will still wont link YOUR claim in post #2, where you hacked up this BS claim :

I have a thread running about a teen in the UK who got 16 years for buying a gun and had mountains of evidence he was going to do a Norwegian style mass slaughter and you would NOT believe how many have posted saying that they should have allowed the mass shooting

You are right, no one believes it.

I was not posting to you. Take it up with her. I see you have nothing to say to her. Wonder why? She derailed your thread on post #2

Even if he comes up with a source, it will concentrate on 'injury' not death. "There were 180,00 Lillte Johnnys who hurted themself on the swing and they cried." Something like that.

OP posts an inflammatory piece of hype-propaganda in the OP containing no statistics or facts whatsoever. None.

Then turns instantly into "concerned social scientist" demanding "proof" from any who disagree or make counter claims.

Recipe of the Left. Thousands of times a day they engage in this transparent, dishonest horseshit.

Then wonder why, despite vast numerical superiority in their "dregs of society" voting blocs and a hegemony in MSM, they don't win more elections.

The internet has done an excellent job of clearing the air and dragging their lie narratives into the light of day where they can be adequately scrutinized and then dismissed.

Anyone interested can read up on a truthful summary of causes of child death in the U.S. There may be a more recent edition of this, and it is also Complex-slanted, just not as egregiously as the BS in the OP and subsequent propaganda posts/charts.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK220806/

The Complex distorts the firearm death numbers (towards increasing its growth, wealth and power) by including "children" up to 19 years of age dishonestly, an age where a significant portion of "children" prone to crime have in fact been hardened criminals for several years.

More importantly LW-Complex gun grabber propaganda also downplays the fact that a vast majority of violence against children (about 80%) is committed by PARENTS, caretakers or other family members, who would undoubtedly use other means than a firearm to hurt or kill their child if they didn't have a gun. So the primary danger to children from violence is in the home, not schools or anywhere else, and that danger is only tangentially related to firearms. Further, they do not bother to delineate legally from illegally owned firearms used in child violence. THIS IS BY DESIGN. Finally, they do not delineate the incidence of increases or decreases in violence against children in areas with stringent preexisting firearm laws versus those areas with less restrictive firearm laws. THIS IS BY DESIGN. Outside of banning all sharp, blunt, dangerous things in the home, taking firearms from law-abiding citizens isn't going to address violence against children.

Don't be fooled by their dishonest, sensationalist, and truly nauseating propaganda of the type in the OP. It's all a con to take more from YOU for THEM, not to solve social problems. MORE FROM YOU FOR THEM. They know that once they have your guns, they can tax more, redistribute more, steal more from YOU for THEM.

Am I a bad person for laughing at this ad? I was certain it was a parody until I saw the logo at the end.

You'd have to have some problems if you didn't see the humor in it. Humor and satire go well together. And the point is made.

But, it is a serious ad for an organisation working to fight school shootings, right? Or is it just a full-on parodic, comedy sketch?

I do not think humour works too good in this context at all and would consider this ad a massive failure.

I like it, but realize that it's purpose is to mock the arguments for the inaction of the nation. I don't think it's a terribly effective tool in the sense that it's offensive to a certain group.

I find it way too vague and smug to have the kind of effect and reaction they are aiming for. I mean, you do not even realise what the heck it is about until the very end -- Is it a new comedy film? Is it an SNL-sketch?Is it a re-recreation of a Sotuh Park-scene?

Pure garabge. Even those overdone "In the arms of an angel"-commercails are better than this ambigious bs.

    Thumbs down from me.

Lots of jealous Aussies here today I see. Kids in one third of the states in OUR country are attending schools where the teachers are well trained and well armed. I realize the Australian continent is far away and it takes a while for the news to get to YOU but, here is how many states are quietly implementing their safety programs.

Again, none of your business but this really pisses off lefties so I will toss it in the mix,

How come there are no armed guards?

How come there are no CCW permit carriers defending the kids?

How come there are no faculty members armed and ready to defend our children?

That's because left-wingers don't care about our children. Sad.

The last link is paywalled. The first two deal ONE State ~ Ohio, not 'many.' Finally, what are these 'lots of Aussies' jealous of?

Go ask a left winger. If you are asking me, I care, and I want the guns out. You don't. You want more weapons.

Better read the title in the first link. It says twelve states not one and that is just the center of our country.
No "paywall". It is USA today. Maybe your computer is pissed because you are using it too much.
Aussies must be jealous of something in the US as they keep sticking their noses in our constitution.

Here's the deal. When the USA stops sticking its nose into oh, say the ME for example, I'll stop sticking my nose into your Constitution. Okay?
