Of course it is. Please point to where I said otherwise.

It is also my "absolutely undeniable and unquestionable legal right" to point out that he lied about releasing them, point out WHY we ask candidates to release their returns, and otherwise keep criticizing him for it.

    Interesting assertion.

But thanks for confirming what I said: that Trump supporters do not care whether Trump is corrupt or not.

When you called it stonewalling, you implied otherwise. One does not stonewall one's private information and one's undeniable and unquestionably legal privacy rights, one PROTECTS one's constitutional rights. Got it?

We know he isn't. The IRS has not charged him with anything...ever. Nor has the 50 million dollar leftist witch hunt and coup attempt, nor the SDNY. duh. The only people who believe these ludicrous leftist hoaxes, lies, smears, slander are leftists themselves. Others have brains and common sense. Sorry

We also know who makes America great, who's created an amazing economy, peace and prosperity.... and who are open border demanding, America hating, anti-Semites defending, America people "deplorables" despising, swamp protecting globalists/socialists.

The choice can't be more stark and Trump's taxes are not even remotely a factor. So keep up the same whining that failed the libs in 2016. Not that the utterly insane Democrat party has any better ideas.

PS we also know who is a crazy Chavez loving commie, who is an imposter and a fraud and who is a senile and utterly corrupt swamp creature among the democrat frontrunners LOL :D

When he gets Trumps taxes and IF he finds something potentially criminal, all bets are off...

    Not really, but okay.

    No, we don't.

That just means he hasn't broken any tax laws. To be clear, it doesn't even mean he hasn't broken any money-related laws. His tax return could say "Paid $50 million by mafia for burying rivals in the cement foundations of Trump Tower", and as long as he declared it properly, the IRS isn't allowed to care or report him.

What we're discussing is corruption, which is using the office of the Presidency for personal gain. It would be stuff like "I owe $100 million to Kremlin-backed bankers, so I'm going to go easy on Putin."

Seeing his tax returns would let us see if Trump has any financial entanglements that could affect his decisions.

You might want to wipe that orange dust away from your lips.

So now we are going to pretend that those looking for corruption in Trumps tax returns have a genuine concern for justice?

Its good that you backed off from him owing millions to the Russians to admitting that it is just an unknown. That puts this on par with the birther movement. One thing a reasonable person can assume is that those demanding it are not going to use the information to make him look good. So far, the embarrassment has ended up with the collusionists and obstructionists.

Is someone refuses to pay their taxes in protest of government actions, they lose their home, business, retirement, and end up in jail. Thats the kind of person I want in the White House.

Oh... this Russia garbage again. Dude, this hoax is dead, Mueller has lost his marbles, Weissman has failed, didn't you get the memo? :D

apology is accepted but please don't do it again. You'll be exposed and embarrassed again.

The leftists have a winner here. For years, millions of Americans have voluntarily not owned guns. Therefore, we can take your guns if we want. One of the conditions of the law for income tax was that they would be private and not made public.

Besides, we already saw President Trump's tax returns when Rachel Maddow showed them to the world.

As for tradition, we always had presidents, for better or worse, who loved America. Until we had President Obama who hates America. Times obviously change, don't they?

And it's a very well known and wide-spread phenomenon of human psychology:

Wishful thinking describes decision-making and the formation of beliefs based on what might be pleasing to imagine, rather than on evidence, rationality, or reality. It is a product of resolving conflicts between belief, and desire.

Um, I didn’t back off. I used that as an example of the sort of thing his returns might tell us. I never stated it as fact.

    Um, no.

Which is completely irrelevant. The point is transparency, not whether people will treat you nicely.

Hillary released DECADES of tax returns. There was no expectation people would treat her nicely. Why is Trump special?

    What are you talking about?

Your inability to recognize a hypothetical example is noted, as well as your continued dodging of the meaning of “corruption”.

It is unlikely Trump has broken any AML laws, given the numerous laws regulatory agencies and registered financial advisors/accounts are required to follow.

    Impossible, no. Unlikely, yes...

    Might?

This is an abuse of power. Nothing else. You are welcome to support this abuse when it is being used against someone you oppose, just don't complain when it is used against you.

I'll only respond to the Congressional request... I'm not going to get into all the other parties requesting this information

    SNIP
Enacted in 1924, in the wake of Congressional attempts to investigate agency wrongdoing in the Teapot Dome corruption scandal, Section 6103(f) was intended to provide the Committee with unfettered access to tax return information necessary to carry out its broad mandate to oversee Treasury, the IRS, and the Nation’s tax laws.

You might be confused... I didn't ask if you're able to request anyone's tax returns. I asked, "Why are Trump's tax returns important?"

I think I'm the best judge as to whether or not you've answered my question, and you haven't answered my question.

Since you're obviously unable to answer coherently in your own words, I'm left to believe that you probably don't understand the question (or you probably don't understand much at all).

I trust the Dept of Tres and the NY Dept of Tres and the hard working civil servants there that have reviewed his returns for decades and found nothing...why don’t you?

Or you could put some faith in the IRS! They have had countless opportunity to crush this guy but unfortunately haven't found a infraction damning enough to merit anything but a fine..

But I know.. The IRS has prolly missed something after all these years and CNN and MSNBC along with TDS and Maddcow syndrome will certainly find what thousands of trained agents could not ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

I do believe there is tax fraud or tax shenanigans. There is something much as a connection with oligarchs or Saudis or Russian oligarchs.
