    LOL at "illegal phone call"... that was the same BS deflection strategy tried when Mike Flynn broke the Logan Act...

    Tip going forward - As a general rule, and until you hear otherwise, assume all phone calls are legal...

    So, Trump does a 180 from the "more flexible with Putin" policy, and arms Ukraine against him, then calls to offer congrats on an election, and opens up some dialogue about corruption investigations that were taking part in Ukraine that the Obama Admin (lead by Biden), obstructed on behalf of little Biden.

    and this has the left massively upset.

    I believe the person I was initially responding to concerning this was actually suggesting this. I'm glad you see the importance of confidential meetings with foreign dignitaries.

    The Ukraine has been warring with Russia over territory. Why wouldn't Trump just go to his Co-President Putin for dirt on Biden? It makes NO sense.

    But obviously because of the Hunter Biden/Ukraine connection...

    Very little in this administration makes sense to me, but it goes on without my approval....

    I agree... it makes NO sense, but then again, neither does sending America's Vampire on CNN last night to get publicly eviscerated by Chris Cuomo on the topic... they're still running that clip on TV this afternoon, I suspect as much for the humor as the news value...

    Oh, breaking news . A whistleblower heard trump tell Ukraine that the bidens were taking bribes. I guess if our fbi is in the rank for dems ya gotta tell someone to put an end to it .

    Breaking News from the WSJ ,who I know I cannot post due to firewall.... Just typing the screen crawl from MSNBC...

    Hokay... Is THAT normal behavior on a phone call with a foreign leader??

    I say no....

    Doesn't mention anything about a quid pro quo on the Ukraine aid, so I'm not sure where the "promise" thing is coming from...

    You are the one running around with your hair on fire screaming "Orange Man Bad", every chance you get and with no evidence behind it.

    I watched CNN, yes... I know... sometimes you got to slum to see what the whack jobs are talking about. I got surprised. They have an ex-Intelligence guy, Phil Mudd who proceeded to go on a rant:

    (1) Does not qualify as a Whistle Blower - President is not under those guidelines and the guy reporting should have known better
    (2) Should not be listening in on a President of the United States like that.
    (3) Political hit job
    (4) Will be a "Nothing Burger"

    Phil Mudd is a big "Orange Man Bad" person, but he is also a counterintelligence expert that is up to speed on the laws, practices, and does not like to see the intelligence community abused this way.

    I wonder if CNN will put him on the bench for a while?

    Yeah, I've seen that about 5 times in this thread alone....

    1) - The guidelines don't say who and who is not in them... almost impossible to write whistleblower laws that would limit that..
    2) - We don't know how the person got this information because of the DOJ cover up
    3) - We don't know who the person is because that's a good thing, so that will likely not be proven...
    4) - We'll see, depending on how long the DOJ cover up is allowed to continue...

    This is going to backfire in their face. I think Trump is letting this build up until it has enough critical coverage, then he will expose the event with the intelligence operative as a Nothing Burger, and then continue down the Hunter Biden / Joe Biden blackmail, crony event with the Ukraine.

    Facts:

    (1) Hunter Biden has ZERO Natural Gas Experience
    (2) Ukraine brought him in and put him on a board of Burisma Holdings (National Natural Gas Company) paying $188,000 a month.
    (3) Ukrainian prosecutor, Victor Shokin smelled a rat and investigated this and other corruption at Burisma Holdings
    (4) U.S. Vice President, Joe Biden flew out to Ukraine and demanded Victor Shokin be fired, or the U.S. would withhold $1 BILLION. He gave them hours to comply.
    (5) Ukraine fired the prosecutor Victor Shokin within hours
    (6) The U.S. allowed the $1 Billion of our dollars to flow to the Ukraine.
    (7) Joe Biden bragged about it on video
