I do understand the importance of the world economy. Case in point: the world wide boycott of USA products as a result of Bush_Stupid's imperialistic war of colonialist terrorism in Iraq. As a result of that boycott, the impact of the world wide recession increased significantly in the USA.

However, it is not the role of the USA to be the world's policeman. When it attempts to take that role, it screws up royally.

Leave that role to the UN.

Force the USA to withdraw, and then the world powers will finally get off their fat asses and take the corrective action necessary to bring that about.

The UN is where leaders go to vent their complaints, that's all. UN members have opposing views on how to deal with situations so they generally override each other so nothing gets accomplished. This on the grounds that government has no role in regulating industries or people because it always messes things up.
