    Bad news for vegans:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/30/health/red-meat-heart-cancer.html

Keep chowing in that red meat! From now on it ain’t that bad!
Too bad for vegans, as now they will have to come up with more bogus reasons to stop eating meats.

In 10 years red meat will be bad again.

Avoid processed foods. Eat in moderation. Maintain a healthy body weight. Exercise.

Do those things and you'll be relatively fine

It's always something, the "experts" can't seem to make up their minds. As terraspinstation said, it's about moderation and not being sedentary.

So throw a ribeye on the grill, eat it while watching AOC say we only 12 years left. Laugh, enjoy life, don't take the clowns seriously.

    It was not well received.
    https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/2019/09/30/flawed-guidelines-red-processed-meat/

Basically the study used a criteria that would justify drinking 64 oz cups of soda every day.

Sure sounds like a handy way to extort funding from an industry.

I guess it depends on how much one eats, there is always a point of too much. I always believe in a variety.

So much for science and infallible scientific community. They have been changing their tune countless times on just about everything in the last couple of decades alone....

But somehow we are to blindly believe their climate change scaremongering, their failed computer models notwithstanding. Duh

Eat, Love, Sing, because tomorrow we die.

If the vegan mafia ever take power and prohibit red meat, I'll just replace a quadrupial herbivore for a two legged one.

there is plenty of evidence that lean red meat is healthy for some time now
the issue is that they keep putting fat+processed and lean red meat in the same group

Experts get paid to tell us something new

Otherwise they would need to find a real job

So if the last research paper breathlessly discovered that red meat is bad for us the next one will have to say its ok

    exactly

and I would only go lean red meat if eating grain fed meat, but if grass fed, I like to get a nice healthy fatty meat

the oil\fat to avoid is heavily processed seed oils like Crisco and corn oils

sadly true, corporations pay for most of our studies nowadays, it's obvious they have a bias

it's why the government pushes high carb diets on America... part of that is also because Iowa is the first Primary state

Variety and moderation and you are good to go. Veganism is the radical wing of vegetarianism and radicism of any kind be it political, religious, or economic will get you scrudded.

Vegans ate so far out there that they are crazier than standard vegetarians. Vegans would ban all meat be it red or white and eating fish or dairy is verboten with that cult. I wonder what else is banned for Vegans?

From a Ukrainian Cossack song in the film Taras Bulba-----------------------if you drink you shall die, if you don't drink you'll be dry, so say what hell raise your glasses high... and drink like a Cossack, fight like a Cossack, love like Cossack, drink man drink...

All my life, scientists told us emphatically, Do not do this, dont eat that and then down the road new studies change it and they reverse it.
Eat margarine Butter is bad for you, Oops we were wrong butter is better. Dont eat eggs bad for you, oops we were wrong eggs are good for you and on and on endlessly.

The key is to do it all in moderation

Well, I'm a vegetarian mostly because I don't approve of the way meat is produced in factory agriculture. It is truly disgusting and so inhumane. Everybody should have a chance to visit a modern hog or poultry farm or even a slaughterhouse to see for themselves. I've worked in agricultural sciences my whole life so I know it doesn't have to be that way.

I'll still eat free range turkey on holidays and I like fish once in a while but even the thought if a big slab of undercooked cow is enough to make me puke.

When I used to hunt we would take down a deer or two every year and even a moose once in a while and I don"t have a problem with that. I don't like killing things anymore though. We used to hang and butcher our own meat though and then use it all winter.

I don't know. Say what you want about vegetarians. I'm 60 and have always been able to pass for 10 years younger than my age. I can still put 10 or 11 hours in behind a combine or baling hay.

Mind you it's easy for me. When I'm not travelling, I live on an organic farm. Still, I would encourage people to cut down on red meat consumption and processed foods.

Being that I've been keto for 7 years, I eat red meat but not in large quantities.

One study does not a fact make. This is why people get so confused. "Science" doesn't now say that you can eat all the red meat you want without consequences. ONE study suggests this. Give me another 100 peer-reviewed studies and we can talk.

Science doesn't keep changing, only the information we have and how that information is interpreted. Paradigms emerge very slowly in science, but lightning fast in the media and popular interpretations.

I can guarantee that giving up the crap carbs and processed foods will drastically improve your life.
