What exactly are our commitments? Is there a treaty somewhere? Why should we care if the Kurds ally with Assad?

 

Clearly if we think the Kurds are such an important ally, then we shouldn't also be allies with their mortal enemies, Turkey. So either we kick Turkey out of NATO or we should leave NATO. I can't get too many people to engage on this rather obvious point however.

 

They started saying that during the Obama administration when Obama threw Mubarak under the bus and then Gaddafi then Japan watched as the Chi-Coms encroached into their territorial waters and then the Chi-Coms started militarizing the South China Sea.

Why do you think Turkey doesn't belong in NATO? Next to the United States, it has the largest single military force in NATO and the country is a keystone between east and west geo-politically. And, why do you want us to leave NATO?

 

I never said Obama controlled the Arab Spring. Don't believe everything you hear on CNN or read in the NYT.

What I claimed was that President Obama supported the Arab Spring as seeing it as a way for regime changes in the Middle East and North Africa and as a way to put the Muslim Brotherhood in control of Egypt and other Arab countries.

Now there are a few who claim that President Obama may have helped organize the Arab Spring in Leymen.

 

If the arab spring had been a big success the lib media would have given obama all the credit

It doesn't...sometimes it's the Kurds. Sometimes it's the South Vietnamese. Sometimes it's the South Koreans. Trump is destroying the global reputation of the United States, which fits nicely with his agenda for his isolationist policies and the expansionist policies of Putin's Russia.

So, you are content in having used the Kurds to fight ISIS, it's now OK to desert them? At least we stood by the South Koreans and took the South Vietnamese into the U.S. as refugees, when we left. I have no problem in a negotiated U.S. withdrawal from the region, but you don't just leave behind allies to be murdered.

 

Obama knew exactly what the Middle East should look like, his vision how things should be.

 

Israel has an alliance with the Kurds going back to Mustapha and Masoud Barzani circa 1950.. The Mossad provided them with training and weapons.

 

The US didn't want regime change.. How do you propose we could have kept Mubarak or Ghaddafi in power? Sheesh.

You are forgetting some historical facts, the Democrats in Congress just didn't backstab the Saigon government during the Vietnam War and also backstabbed the American soldier while he was still on the battlefields of Vietnam but also refused allowing the Vietnam refugees from entering the United States bigley.
