In another thread, a Trump supporter was criticizing Warren as being elitist. Now obviously, pretty much anyone who is running for president is de facto in the elite., but it does boggle my mind how republicans spend their time decrying the left elite (most of whom are self made) and always support the most elitest candidate they can find. While I know PF leans seriously right, I can't see how Warren would be considered the elite candidate if one does even the most basic wiki search.

Even if you read Wikipedia, which is always slanted to make democrats look as good as possible, you learn that she's been immersed in the elitest academia bubble since 16 except when she married well which gave her the income to become more immersed into academia, divorcing that husband, and marrying another wealthy money maker so that she could rise even more in the academia bubble with the help of being an " indian".

She hasn't built anything, hasn't experienced our capitalist system or risen or fallen or risen again because of it like the majority of Americans. She is incredibly out of touch with what makes America great and the poster child of Elitist.

Trump has spent his entire life in the elite. Multi millionaire father, best schools, doctors to get him out of military service, a position in daddy's organisation and a mountain of money from daddy to boot. He is the textbook definition of elite.

Warren is from a fairly humble background and has achieved her position in life on ability. No rich daddy to haul her up the ladder and no mountain of money waiting. She got where she is because she is smart. That is supposed to be how America works. The only 'elite' she is a part of is a meritocratic one. She gets defined as 'elite' because conservatives have re-defined the term to include anyone with a tertiary education who isn't conservative....or just anyone who isn't conservative.

Only an idiot or a brainwashed ideologue could contend that Trump was anything but 'elite'.

That's sort of like being mad at someone who loves bicycles for being the manager of a bicycle store. I guess he would be a bicycle elitist.

    LOL! From wikipedia:

"Warren was born Elizabeth Ann Herring in Oklahoma City on June 22, 1949,[3][4][5][6] the fourth child of middle-class parents Pauline (née Reed, 1912–1995) and Donald Jones Herring (1911–1997). Warren has described her family as teetering "on the ragged edge of the middle class" and "kind of hanging on at the edges by our fingernails".[7][8] She had three older brothers and was raised Methodist.[9][10]

Warren lived in Norman, Oklahoma, until she was 11 years old, when her family moved back to Oklahoma City.[8] When she was 12, her father, a salesman at Montgomery Ward,[8] had a heart attack, which led to many medical bills as well as a pay cut because he could not do his previous work.[5] After leaving his sales job, he worked as a maintenance man for an apartment building.[11] Eventually, the family's car was repossessed because they failed to make loan payments. To help the family finances, her mother found work in the catalog order department at Sears.[5] When she was 13, Warren started waiting tables at her aunt's restaurant.[12][13]
    "

Compare that to the trust fund baby born with a liver spoon in his mouth, who received a "small" loan of $1 million from his dad (among all the other loans and gifts never talked about). It's not even a contest.

Well, Harvard is a PRIVATE university. So your accusation of spending her "whole" sic[life] in government doesn't fly. She was waiting tables as a 13 year old. Think that Trump would have ever "lowered" himself to that level? He's always had people serving him.

Ridiculous comparison. The guy who loves bicycles isn't going to be jacking with your life because he thinks he should have the God given right to order you about to suit his fancy of the moment nor is he likely to think loving bicycles makes him some sort of unsung genious but leftist Congress critters seem to believe that not only should they be able to tell you how you should live your life but to compel you to do so by force of law.

Dude it's Harvard where people go to learn to be good little bureaucrats and leftist micromanagers. It is private to the same extent you are a giant spaghetti monster.

Good grief! Control who? Control them how? FFS, she's only been in public office since 2013. If she has managed to control your life, it sure didn't take long.

And yet, after having lived in his home town of New York City for ten years, I can tell you that money doesn't buy everything. The wealthy real elites of NYC have never viewed The Donald as anything but a clown, a joke. It feeds into his psychosis, not being accepted by fellow rich people, and not being included in the famous "Hollywood Elite" even after hosting a successful television show. His ego is bigger than Texas, and as fragile as a soap bubble. It's all he cares about, period.

Also, he's never been held accountable for his words or actions, until he made the worst decision in a life of bad decisions and ran for president.

    Ramen!

Harvard is where you go if you can cut the mustard academically. Or if your parents are rich enough to buy a building on campus. Or both. If you think only leftists come out of Harvard, you really should research their alumni lists.

To me elitist is a state of mind. It isn’t educational background, inherited money, earned money, or social status.

It’s believing you are better than others, and that you have the right to control others because of that superiority.

I suppose both are somewhat elitist, but Warren comes across much more so to me. Trump pulls off ketchup on steak and fast food to White House guests but Warren bombed the beer episode. Just my opinion.

LOL....I find it hilarious that you would equate academia with elitism.

Just goes to show you where the real problem lies; we need to put a greater emphasis on education because a significant portion of the population is too easily indoctrinated into believing this crap.

The real problem here is not which one is elitist, since neither are, but Trump pretends he's not even though he's spent his entire life wanting to be accepted by them. Problem is that the true elitists know he is fraud, a conman, pure and simple, but enough of a successful conman to fool a significant portion of the population whose entire idea of elitism has been formed and shaped by elitists of the right persuasion.

Trump is too crude and uncultured to be an "elitist"

If elitist meant wealthy, then you would be 100% correct. Since it does not mean wealthy however, your analysis doesn't make any sense.

An elitest is someone who think they are enlightened and qualified to rule over others even though they are hideously lacking in real world experience outside of academia and government.
