It's going to invest into an EU army isn't it, and it's going to freeload off of NATO until the time comes first, you'd see!

    You've never heard of him??

You've obviously never researched humour by culture.

He is absolutely unknown in Germany. Keep in mind the UK plays little to no role here.

You guys should broaden your knowledge and look beyond your borders, update your general knowledge.

Because the UK doesn't want to.

I don't have a favourite German comedian, German humour is dull as dishwater. Like I said, Henning is at smile humour, he obviously realised he was better off getting out of Germany.

    Irony, a "German comedian".

Look, no one can accuse Germans of being funny, but this thread is about them having 15 Billion Euros and I suggest they spend it on housing refugees let loose from Turkey, have 3.5 million refugees move to Germany and stop the EU paying 4.5 billion Euros to Turkey in a notion that suggests countries in the EU who can afford it should do more while stopping Turkey from taking the money and running.

They will need it to prop up their economy. Adolf Merkel is crapping herself.

You come across as someone claiming poor people could with smart spending have in almost every case a decent place to live and enough healthy food to eat. In fact, food insecure Americans who miss meals have a lousy diet.

I know what you mean - people would look at me weird if I drove a Mercedes pickup.

I don't know what if any RAM you've actually driven - I suspect it was a diesel - but my 8 cylinder 5.7L Hemi has power to burn and unfortunately I've got the speeding tickets to prove it. It could handle your Autobahn without breaking a sweat - at 80 mph/130 kmh the engine is barely doing 2000 RPM so it's more than capable of cruising at 100 mph/150 kmh.

However, speed is not what I bought it for. I live out in the country and I need a tough work truck with a big bed for hauling lumber, firewood, construction materials, etc., around on our backroads.

Now, if I wanted an affordable, reliable sedan that will last forever I'd buy a Honda.

It doesn't matter how i come across to you.. please stop putting words in my mouth snd deal with what i actually say.

My ONLY point here is that Americans not just poor Americans have a very bad diet and a much better diet is less expensive than the fast food crap that we consume in massive quantities.
Fact is a person can make a chicken salad for less less than a big mac and fries.

Why is it a certain type of person has to put their own spin on everything to make a counterpoint to things that aren't even being said?

How about the people who can't afford to buy enough healthy food to eat?

We will just help France to empty its camps along the channel, send them to the UK, were they want to go.

The biggest problem, people do not know about food, about cooking and so on. The highest food preparation skill they have is operating a microwave.
Michel Obama understood that and supported training and teaching in schools.
You would be surprised how little inercity people know were their food comes from, how it grows, or which animal produces what.
They have no idea that cows produce the milk, or chicken lay the eggs.
I volunteered for MO's program, it was a experience for a farm boy, to teach folks, children and parents.

There's something to what you say. My wife taught high school foods courses for three decades.
Chalk it up to the absolute failure to educate students.

My wife and I always taught in mixed farming and suburban communities. Our students knew this stuff, so it's hard to imagine so many inner city kids do not. But those who don't should be taught this basic life information.

    Yes it is.
This discussion is a comparative of the quality of life in America vs Germany as it relates to life longevity.

To that end the biggest problem in America diet. If Americans ate properly, which the vast majority can afford to do we'd see massive increases in life expectancy and insane reductions in health care costs.
