The Canadian psychologist, Jordan Peterson, has a video titled "The most frightening statistic in America" I believe.
The US Armed Forces will not accept anyone with an IQ below 83 for the simple reason that they cannot do ANYTHING, not any job in any military.
And the military has a lot of jobs and experience at jobs, with many decades of experience over scores of millions of men and women.
Ten percent of Americans have IQs 83 or lower. Ten percent. Many of them are homeless, they're alcoholics, they're drug addicts, they're in prison, they're some of the dregs of humanity, and they overwhelmingly vote Democrat. Don't hold it against them. They can't help themselves.

Wait...you just said "The idea that a president is immune to prosecution does seem rather bizarre, but that's how it works."

but that only pertains to Trump?

Why is that a frightening statistic? It used to be that those guys made for good cannon fodder, but nowadays, cannon fodder is only useful in war for creating human sandbags. It means they don't have to worry about being drafted.

The reason they are homeless is because they can be. It's the easiest thing in the world to become homeless. All you have to do is lose your job so you stop paying your bills so you get kicked out of your house, and blam! You're sleeping on a piece of cardboard.

This isn't frightening. It's just laziness. There are jobs all over the place for people who aren't lazy. Hell, there are even jobs for the lazy, if they are intelligent or honest enough to get them.

No, there are certain laws that don't apply to members of congress, as well. For example, Pelosi could drive 200 mph from San Francisco to Washington DC and it would be illegal to stop her. I guess you could mail her a speeding ticket, but because she's a member of congress, it's illegal to stop her from getting to congress.

Here. Let's try this one more time and see if you can read and comprehend the truth...

Trump never "referred to torch carrying white nationalist zealots as fine people."

What he said was that there were very fine people on both sides. And there were very fine people on both sides and there were some very bad people on both sides.

He never said that ALL the people on both sides were fine people.

We've tried to explain this to you left-wingers but you seem to have failed to comprehend that there were very find people on both sides.

Here. Let me put it in simple terms so that even you can comprehend.

There were two groups of people at the gathering.

One group of people wanted the confederate monuments torn down and the other group of people wanted the confederate monuments to remain.

The group that wanted the confederate monuments torn down had both good people (peaceful) and bad people (Antifa, etc.).

The group that wanted the confederate monuments to remain had both good people (peaceful, like me) and bad people (NAZIS, etc.).

    Do you comprehend now?

Thank you for the detailed defense of the Bigot-in-Chief. Without it I couldn't have identified the false assumption you base your false conclusion on. Namely, that the people who heeded the call of the white nationalist organizers of the Unite the Right rally
    [IMG]

were there to protest the removal of monuments. Glad I could clear that up for you.

And now, back to the subject of the thread.

Trump Makes the Argument for an Imperial Presidency
His attorneys are reviving the classic line: “When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.”

...and there were many people there who weren't part of the "unite the right" group that were protesting the removal of monuments.

I'm glad that I cleared that up for ya!

You support the ten percent of America's population who cannot hold a job. House them, clothe them, feed them, provide them with medical care and transportation. It's easy. You can belch while you do it.

If only reiterating your false assumption made it so.

"Unite the Right was explicitly organized and branded as a far-right, racist, and white supremacist event by far-right racist white supremacists. This was clear for months before the march actually occurred. So by casting the rally instead as a sort of spontaneous outpouring from Confederate statue enthusiasts, Trump is rewriting history.

What Trump should have known about Unite the Right
The Unite the Right rally, which was scheduled to take place on August 12, 2017, was the most visible display of white nationalist and white supremacist hate en masse in the United States in years. And it was branded as such long before it took place."

I have no desire, beyond this post, to re-litigate what has already been discussed.

No, I simply have no problem with people being homeless. I ain't feeding, clothing, feeding or nothing for them. It's a choice they made, and now they're living with the ramifications of that choice.

Or perhaps it was a scheme cooked up by the left to con people on the right into believing that some right people were behaving as badly as left people, and to get people like you to carry the torch on that... Just supposing by asking what is the more logical scenario...

They didn't murder anybody. The crazy lone wolf James Alex Fields Jr. did.

Nope, you don't get to dodge cold-blooded murder that easily. He was there for the rally like everyone else.

You are right, what he said then is still being taken out of context.. If not, then the same characterization should be used for BLM, ANTIFA or any other left wing group that have some bad people but NOT ALL be labeled by same logic according to the "Atwater" doctrine that the few equals ALL BAD via proxy :)

The best that can be said about the Bigot-in-Chief's regrettable remark is he was ignorant of the make-up of the people who attended the rally on the side of the nazis and white nationalists. Racists from 35 states came to participate in the Unite the Right rally. People who marched with torches the night before and beat up a small group of protesters. People who were equipped and eager for a physical confrontation. People with confederate flags, helmets, and tee shirts with swastikas. Not people who came to protest the removal of statues. Sorry, those are the facts.

And now, back to the subject of the thread.

A cute cartoon I saw several years ago featured a beautiful woman asking her husband, "Are you coming to bed?"
Husband: "In a minute. I'm busy."
    Cutey: "Doing what?"
Husband: "Someone on the internet is wrong."

Agreed but that's never gonna happen as long as the Socialist Democrats are a part of the party. They've taken the party to crazy town and their agenda is not just some misplaced fear or perception of those who elected Trump. There's no denying who's running that show now, even Pelosi is afraid of them. If she doesn't toe that line now she could end up face down in the Potomac.
