Now you're pretending that this small group of freshman representatives speak for entire party, which is simply nonsense.

    Terrible argument.

Are you a proponent of having a significant number of US troops in the Middle East?

If so, how many, where, towards what purpose, and for how long?

Afraid? This has been going on since the 10th century. How many centuries do you think we should babysit?

"Are you distrustful of the coverage of what is happening now in northern Syria between the Kurds and the Turkish army? You have good reason to be.

ABC aired supposedly shocking footage Monday and Sunday purporting to be from the frontline battle between the Syrian Kurds and the invading Turks. The only problem is, the footage appears to come from a nighttime machine gun demonstration at the Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky.

After seeing a comment from Twitter user Wojciech Pawelczyk, I began making some calls. As of this writing, it appears ABC indeed aired footage recorded in the Bluegrass State and claimed it was from Syria. The network has since pulled the video.

'We’ve taken down video that aired on World News Tonight Sunday and Good Morning America this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy,' a network representative told the Washington Examiner. 'ABC News regrets the error.'"

And is there an actual end-game in the plan when you go in?

It's weird how these little oopsies the media are always making never seem to err on the side of Trump.

Post 12 goes into more detail on the ridiculousness of the coverage - stuff the media can't write of as a "mistake" - pure propaganda.

Trump already smells like a turd over this, but it sounds like he realise his mistake now and is trying to reverse course, can he undo the damage he has done remains to be seen

yes, Putin was the big winner in this one, I think there is something he has on Trump, Trump puts everyone down except Putin, whom he seems to worship and bend over backwards for - it's weird, maybe after Trump leaves office we will learn more about it

Our only real "ally" in this situation was Turkey. That's an inconvenient fact you guys just have not been able to accept.

It is embarrassing to see as a dem. The MSM keeps troting out these retired Generals that now work for defense contractors or think tanks funded by defense contractors to criticize anything the does not spend more money for thier benefit. They did the same thing under Bush and Obama any talk about letting people sort things out for themselves and they just see the spigot being turned off. Corporate media is just that set up for the corporations.

The new york times was something that in the 60s and 70s said something it was taken as gospel. When they were shown to be wrong they would have big public retractions and apologies, they are now no better than Murdochs rags. They just ran a piece on tulsi Gabbard saying she was a Russian plant. A person who wore our uniform for 16 years and still wears it, by somebody who probably not only never bought a soldier a beer in an airport, probably never thanked one for serving.

The US still has about a 1000 troops still in the area yet Turkey started their invasion regardless. Turkey knew the US would never fight them being a NATO member. Is that tough for you to comprehend?

The US had a couple hundred in what Turkey declared as their buffer zone.
We are running from that area as fast as our little Humvees can carry us.
Trump told Turkey he would not try to stop them.

Where has he gone wrong? Where did he disappoint? Which Presidential candidate would have done better, and how?

And yet, the only reason Turkey was sending ISIS terrorists into Syria was to fight the Kurds. They profited well from Syria's stolen oil - as did ISIS.

First of all, how would you or anyone know what Trump told Erdogan? Were you in on the phone call? And for that matter, how do you know what Erdogan might have told Trump?

What if Erdogan said he is going ahead regardless of whether American troops are there or not. And what if some American soldiers were killed? Then what, a full scale war?

The only thing Trump could have done was withdraw our troops, and give the American occupied lands back to Syria. Syria would then be obligated to protect the Kurds.

I don't think Turkey is going to fight Syria knowing that Russia is the guarantor of Syria's territorial integrity? Russian officers are also embedded with the Syrian troops, so would Turkey risk killing them - as well as risk alienating Iran? I don't think so!

Both Russia and the US had been urging the Kurds to work with Damascus prior to the announcement of the pullout.

This fact throws cold water on your hypothesis.

Almost all of which are fake and won't work for people who have a problem with turning our backs on our allies and setting ISIS prisoners free.

Are Trump supporters now pretending to care about grammar errors? Welp, that's the most adorable thing I've read all year.

I didn't need to be in the room the administration announced it.

Donald Trump’s administration said the U.S. will stand aside when Turkey’s military launches an operation against America’s wartime Kurdish allies in Syria, a significant shift in American policy that raises questions over the fate of thousands of Islamic State detainees.
