The crime rate is several times higher in Mexico, as we all know. Add onto that that the segment of Mexico's population who are border jumpers are not exactly Mexico's most "respectable" segment of their population. If we're talking about those who would break US laws and illegally enter the country, no surprise there's a much higher number of criminals within this group. (Not saying most illegal aliens are criminals, but the percentage of them who are is much higher than the general overall population in Mexico) You take these two factors and multiply them together, and it begins to explain the existence of Angel Moms.
