An illegal immigrant who had a detainer placed on him by Immigration and Customs Enforcement but was released from jails in Washington state has been charged with murdering a high schooler -- and ICE is blaming sanctuary laws for the fact one of the suspected killers was in the country at all.

"This scenario, where sanctuary policies shield criminal aliens who prey on people in the community from immigration enforcement, is becoming all too common," ICE said in a statement.

King County - which includes Seattle - has a policy against asking prisoners their immigration status. Like some other jurisdictions around the country, it also doesn’t cooperate with ICE or other immigration authorities.

The body of Mount Rainier High School student Juan Carlos Con Guzman was found in the Green River in September, and detectives determined he was murdered.

Investigators say two men brutally beat Con Guzman with a baseball bat and slashed his neck with a machete. They dumped his body in the water, then burned their clothes trying to get rid of the evidence.

You're suggesting that America isn't the only country that has bad guys. Does that surprise you?

The crime rate is several times higher in Mexico, as we all know.

Add onto that that the segment of Mexico's population who are border jumpers are not exactly Mexico's most "respectable" segment of their population. If we're talking about those who would break US laws and illegally enter the country, no surprise there's a much higher number of criminals within this group.

(Not saying most illegal aliens are criminals, but the percentage of them who are is much higher than the general overall population in Mexico)

You take these two factors and multiply them together, and it begins to explain the existence of Angel Moms.
