The best part is that you KNOW Adam and Jerry got a good laugh out of watching the door shut on Gaetz.... There are very few rewards for serving Dems these days.... .that must have been a tiny one...

The committees that are involved in the hearings are the House intelligence, foreign affairs and oversight committees. Gaetz is not a member of any of them.

There are, however, plenty of Republicans on those three committees. You can look up their member list. So, your accusation of lack of transparency and oversight doesn't fly.

I see, however, in this thread that the Trump fans have been trained well by Fox news and their leader, mindlessly regurgitating the name calling of Schiff as "Shifty" and the "Kangaroo court" accusations.

 

All busily reciting the daily talking points along with the rest of the herd.

 

To be fair, Adam Schiffty is pretty shifty.

 

The bottom line is that the hearing is either open to all or closed to all outside of the committee.

The Dems are once again acting totally, "above the law."

Trump supporters on this thread have already been incredibly dishonest about what has happened in this hearing, so just making up some 'standard' because it suits today's need to distract from Trump's behaviour won't wash.

This whole thread is dishonest. It was started to create the impression that Dems are shutting out GOP House members from the impeachment hearings, thus furthering the accusation of a one-sided "Kangaroo court". That is just not true.

What is true, however, is that the Dems have the majority on the three committees that are involved in the hearings, due to their majority in the House. Let the Trump fans spin that one too.

 

Well, first Nadler said his committee was part of the "inquiry" and would have to be if it were a real impeachment inquiry. Nadler was invited and part of the hearing...his GOP committee member was not allowed....hence why it's one sided.

But Gaetz did get das boot, for perfectly valid reasons, and his whining about it is what starts a thread like this...

 

Fast and Furious had nothing to do with wrongdoing by Obama himself. The Justice Dept refused the subpoena not the WH.
