On every single trio produced by a title insurance company in the State of Oregon there are several values attributed to each piece of property. The market value, the taxable value, and the assessed value. Does this mean that every single property owner in this state is committing a fraud or does it show that real property valuation is complex and title companies realize the complexity and report everything? In my opinion, Trump didn't release his taxes because an obviously hostile media who are bereft of any financial skills or real estate acumen would create fanciful scenarios of criminality in much the same way the linked article in the OP so clearly demonstrates.

Congress asked the IRS to report on why it audits the poor more than the affluent. Its response is that it doesn’t have enough money and people to audit the wealthy properly. So it’s not going to.

    Is that better?

That claim calls for the operation of the mind. We can assume that he wanted to pay as little as possible. In doing so, he likely broke more laws than average given the complexity of our tax codes and the size of his businesses. Just know that the abuse of power you are cheering for when it is used against Trump, will eventually be used against you or someone you support. Its just a matter of time.

No. And that is a terrible analogy to the discrepancies explained here.

For example, the OP details how Trump said they paid roughly 740,000 in Insurance Costs in the Tax filing and only 450,000 in the Loan Documents, how do you explain that discrepancy?

The OP also details how Trump told the tax groups that they had an 59% occupancy rate roughly 4 days before that told the loan officers that they had a 81% occupancy rate. How do you explain that discrepancy?

The OP notes that Trump told Tax Authorities that he made about 800,000 renting Commercial Properties in the same year that he told loan officers he made 1.67$ million renting Commercial Properties. What's the explanation there?

Yea...that's kinda the point of an investigation. If you have prima facie evidence of wrongdoing, then you investigate.

And yet the Trump administration is actively using its DOJ to argue that Trump is immune from any criminal investigation while he is President.

Tax information just like financial information is property so property laws would apply. Yet if someone did obtain that info albeit illegally and disseminated it that person would have to be caught in order to apply the law.

Edit Inwas wrong. Those were public record by that time just like real estate transactions and certain Probate records are. Once they pass into public records the game is over.

No you are the one dodging the tough questions. You are incapable of admitting many of Trump's contacts have been caught in illegal activity.

After you explain how peripheral figures, caught in unrelated activities, justified the investigation.

    No, it is not better.

I have it on good authority, there are many more poor people than the affluent ones. Perhaps, that is why more poor people gets audited?

On the other hand, the affluent ones are audited more often, for that’s where the money is. Trump’ been audited forever, and I do not believe was ever fined? Or was he?

Unless he becomes the President the United States, than he can really atone for whatever mischief he has done.
And all the Left can do is scream to the sky... right? :)

Peripheral, they worked with or for Trump. Trump's own actions have caused multiple investigations.

Deny it if you wish, but the investigation continues.

Well... I'm not a lawyer, but it seems to me that if he was honest with the IRS then he defrauded the lender. If he was honest with the lender then he defrauded the government. The IRS would catch the latter but not the former.

I'm sure that's way too simplistic but did I get the essence of the criticism, esquire?

Tell the bank your house is worth $1.5 million dollars and ask for a loan against it.

    See what happens.

No my friend, you haven’t. One just cannot defraud the lending institution without simultaneously defrauding the IRS. It is just impossible.

The real problem is that absolutely no one here knows all of the regulations and guidelines involved.

That is what makes this so potent for the Democrats. That is why Trump won't release his tax returns. His opponents can make them look nefarious in limitless ways.

Can you prove that the reportings for tax purposes and loan applications follow identical guidelines?

Clearly they've never bought property, or they'd know the IRS restrictions on how you pay for property.

That's what a degree in Beyonce gets you I guess.
