    I dunno, those tariffs didn't feel like 'allied behavior'. Felt like extortion to renegotiate NAFTA.

    Also, I'm not praising anyone. I'm saying if you want out, fine, get out. But do so in a way that doesn't cause absolute chaos and bloodshed.

    So it's your contention that Turkey was going to invade no matter what the US did? You do realize that they wouldn't have invaded had the US not pulled back. Nobody had to go to war with another NATO country because Turkey wasn't going to invade with the US still where they were. Your talking like the invasion was going to happen anyway. Which is stupid.

    Also, I have no issue with the pullout, if it had been done properly and strategically. Not a half-assed tweet causing chaos and disorder. Then again, I'm sure Trump or one of his buddies cleaned up on the subsequent rebound after a dip thanks to the chaos of this news.

    What happened under Obama's watch is on Obama. What happens under Trump's watch is on Trump. Saying Trump is responsible for what has happened recently does not absolve Obama, but Obama is not the president anymore and he didn't make Trump choose the courses of action that he has. Try living in the present man.

    Obama spent pretty much his entire Presidency blaming Bush.

    He even blamed his decision to pull out of Iraq (ceding it to ISIS) on Bush.

    He was a loser and an affirmative action President.

    I will hope that the poor Kurds don't end up getting massacred after all, or having to continue running panic-stricken away from the marauding Turkish troops. At the very least, it does look like the Kurds are going to be shoved out of their homes and lose what little these poor people had. Frankly... there is damn little to celebrate about this -- and I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Conservative who voted for Trump in 2016.

    Moreover, I wouldn't trust a vicious tyrant like Ergogan as far as I could spit straight into a fifty-mile-an-hour headwind. As I see it, the best that we can hope for is that he will be AT LEAST as bloodthirsty toward the Islamo-Nazis in ISIS as he has always been toward the Kurds.

    Uppermost in my mind, though, is the fact that Trump COULD have hammered all this out intelligently before he summarily yanked U. S. military forces out of the area where the Turks would come pouring in, guns blazing!

    I have nothing but scorn and contempt for EVERY Democrat candidate at this point, but it must be said honestly -- Trump really f*cked this thing up badly! And then he had to make a sad spectacle out of himself and his whole administration with a mad-dash scramble to TRY to put a good face on it. The old phrase, "it's like putting lipstick on a PIG" comes to mind....
