It seems like we're getting off track here. I thought we were mentioning Jane Fonda arrested at Capitol Hill. Where did we have Donald Trump and foreign affairs?

 

Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Elijah Cummings, and Bernie Sanders are commies? Did you fall on your head?

Jane Fonda not proud of America? Well, most of America is not proud of Jane Fonda either, nor is America proud of Jane's demented brother Peter Fonda. In fact, it is probably best to try to forget Jane and Peter altogether and just remember Henry Fonda in the movies "12 Angry Men" and "FailSafe"

 

Jane and Peter are both ok in my book. Henry was a very good actor but not a very nice man.

 

What was President Trump suppose to use for gunboat diplomacy ?

The Clinton administration along with the Democrats in Congress dismantled the Reagan military.
Basically they over downsized the U.S. military.
By doing so we found ourselves in Iraq for more than a few years (2003- 2011)

So instead of an Iowa, Trump sent Patriot air defense missiles to prevent a major war in the region.

 

Is it so unique that a president deliver some of his campaign promises? Tell us about Mexico paying for the wall? Tell us about him cutting the deficit? But there you go again in denial and then attacking. Nothing is ever trumps fault

If true, then it seems Mexicans are paying for the wall.

Who actually believed that Mexico would actually be paying for the wall ?

America under the Trump administration has done absolutely NOTHING for Americans to be proud of. Before Trump, new Presidents, even if they were from a different party or held a different political philosophy, they honored the commitments made with other nations under the name of the U.S. They didn't break our national word. Trump has broken every treaty or agreement made by any of his predecessors, and has demonstrated his complete lack of concern for how that impacts global trust in the honesty & dependability of the U.S. Trump has been the first President in U.S. history, to invite foreign interventions into domestic American elections, thus undermining the voice of American voters, & calling the legitimacy of election outcomes into question. Trump is the first President in my life time to to betray comrades in arms, after a decade of vicious, violent, & deadly fighting by them, with & for us, against ISIS. Trump literally turned them over to the genocidal desires of Turkey, with no hint of concerns for their fate. Trump has made America a nation of ill repute: dishonest, undependable, crass, self-serving, selfish, arrogant, racist, & never to be trusted. That's NOT the America I grew up in. That's NOT an America any of us can feel pride in. Jane Fonda is right. America under Trump, is not worthy of our pride. America under Trump, is an embarrassment.

 

I believe there is no statute of limitations for treason. Fonda should be indicted.

 

As a liberal you can be proud that under Trump illegal immigrants continue to swarm into the US.

The movie totally sucked. Anyone titillated by this movie has led a rather sheltered life IMHO.

Fonda's traveling to the so called Peoples Republic of Vietnam and making a propaganda movie for a country we were were at war with was a disgusting act of treason.

Being against the war is one thing. Providing assistance to our enemy was treason. Apparently you can't grasp the difference.

 

Traveling to North Vietnam and making a propaganda move was treason, i.e., giving aid and comfort to an enemy.

 

1. As a liberal, I wonder why Trump supporters were so angry at Obama, who deported more illegals than any President since the 1960s, including Trump. Perhaps their prejudice against Democrats is more powerful than their openness to the facts.

3. Jane Fonda recognized that the Vietnam War was fought trying to preserve the old, tarnished, outdated, & highly racist white dominated empires of the 19th century, & she felt it destroyed human rights & supported the wrong people. She was right.

 

Traveling to N Vietnam in an effort to get peace talks going, was a brave, patriotic thing to do. She risked her reputation for peace, & you fell into that black hole, & came out blaming her.

Fonda fell for it. The same Communists who murdered their own people and gunned
down those fleeing to the south, now declared they were - wait for it - "nationalists"
Of course, Sth Viet nationalists were absorbed into the Communist Party or killed.

Western Academics took it hook, line and sinker. Of course, they hate the liberal
democracy they created. America and Sth Vietnam were fighting a proxy war against
the Soviet Union and Mao's China (about forty five million Chinese died during this
time in Gulags and political famines, BTW)

So, instead of becoming like South Korean, Sth Viet became like North Korea.
Helped largely by Fonda's army of ignorant, stupid and unfeeling Western Idiots.

 

Ms. Fonda says she is not proud of America but it's likely most Americans aren't proud of her either. Seems the feeling is mutual.

 

One of the problems with Fonda style characters is that they hate the nation they
helped to create (think liberalism)
But they hate what they created.
A good question to ask any Fonda-type you see protesting against their own
country is, "Compared to what?"
Okay, America is "racist" --- compared to what?
America is "sexist" --- compared to what?

I am no fan of Trump. But I can see where he came from. He came from people
angry at the radicals trying to take over their culture, values, family and country.
So they vote for a radical of their own.
