If he was a crook, does he deserve respect for that? Figure any of them are reading this thread, do you?
Could not have happened fast enough. Good riddance. His plans for me were not nice, I have nothing nice to say about him, except he finally he finally did something nice and kicked off.
So you're saying that the Capital is far from majestic and thus he did what he thought was best? You sure you thought that logic through? Sounds like a non sequitur to me. Instead of just agreeing that Lewis was human garbage, you're just twisting yourself into a logical pretzel in his defense.
Not by you, but I am sure his family and his colleagues from both parties who actually knew the man will miss him. By all accounts I have read, Congressman Cummings was well respected by all who actually knew him.
I'm sure the bottom feeders who fed off the crumbs he passed out will miss him. And please let's not act like Cummins was exceptional in anyway. Nor was he particular different. He was simply a creature of the swamp in which he dwelt and had his being. By it's very nature and what it does corruption clings to DC like a noisome shroud. Your average congress critter claims that his salary barely covers expenses, yet almost all of them leave congress far far richer than when they entered. And almost no one left or right wonders how this seeming disparity occurs and the few that do get called conspiracy theorists.
