How flattering, but I'm sorry I don't control the world so people choosing gas powered cars over electric ones is not my agenda.

We are more so now than we have been since the oil booms of the 50's and 60's, we're independent. If international companies want to export to us and try to be competitive doing so have at they have to do so by selling cheaper than our domestic supply. Good for us and we use up their reserves. And it they get pissy and say they are going to increase price we tell them to take a hike we'll pump domestic supplies. That's how capitalism works.

But you know oil prices are set by international trade, don't you ?

What's it going to cost you when you have to replace the battery versus engine maintenance for an ICE at the 100,000 mile battery lifespan which by the way it has lost 25% - 40% of it's capacity/range over time?

    2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV
We reached out to Chevy, and got the following response from Fred Ligouri of Chevrolet Communications.

    Short answer:

The current list price of a Bolt EV HV battery pack is $15,734.29 and the part number is 24285978.
    https://www.greencarreports.com/new...ance-a-third-cheaper-than-combustion-vehicles

    That's a whole lotta maintenance.

Everything else is the same except the electric has 4 motors that can go bad and I imagine disable the car, can they run on just three? I don't know are those motors repairable or do they have to be replaced?

But not Toyota? Is it because they're owned by white people?

And you do know our supply and demand are a HUGE chunk of that?

I proved that companies are dumping combustion engines principle, and that people are choosing differently.

Nope. There is a certain demand in the world, and a certain supply. That sets the price. And an American company is going make their fellow American the full price. That's how capitalism works.

Who says the battery needs to be replaced at 100,000 miles? The guarantee expires from the battery in I think it's Tesla. So what. Lots of combustion cars do fine when the guarantee expires. So...

Toyota expects that by 2025, nearly half its sales will be EV.

Not with competition and we are not dependent on their supply.

    sure

    https://www.whatcar.com/advice/owning/how-long-do-electric-vehicle-batteries-last-for/n18117

In 2015, for example, Nissan reported the case of a Leaf that was bought in 2013 to be used as a taxi around Cornwall. The car had covered more than 100,000 miles without losing any of its battery life.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_vehicle_battery#Lifespan
In real world use, some fleet Toyota RAV4 EVs, using Nickel–metal hydride battery, have exceeded 100,000 miles (160,000 km) with little degradation in their daily range.

I don't think so. EV has a ways to go before it's a viable competitor with conventional vehicles or even hybrids

Batteries lose life span every time they go dead. If it's never allowed to go dead that it's believable. Otherwise it's the lock Ness monster again.

Read my previous post. Put in an other source as well. Stop talking nonsense for the sake of your agenda.

They'll also need to be able to go more than 50 miles with the headlight and air conditioning on with 4 passengers and luggage.

    The warranty is 8 years.
