Found this article to be very thought provoking. Though it is probably going to upset a lot of liberals.

"In her confrontation with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz over guns used in Chicago crimes, which, as Cruz pointed out in response to the Dayton and El Paso shootings, occur in a city which has its own mass murder equivalent virtually every weekend, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot blamed guns brought in from Republican-controlled states: As the Daily Caller reported:"

I wonder if the violence problem in our inner cities is partly caused by failure to re-mediate lead from the old paint and plumbing.

THE LEAD/VIOLENCE CONNECTION: UWM study finds over half of gun violence perpetrators and victims had elevated blood lead levels as children. “The study follows a consistent vein of prior research connecting lead exposure and violence.”

If Democrats could get their heads out of their asses and quit trying to overturn the 2016 election, they could work with Trump on a infrastructure program to clean the lead out of our inner cities. But, of course, Dems have Blacks in squalor, right where they want them.

Interesting point. It’s lead addiction. When you can’t get enough orally you move on to injecting it...

They should build a wall to keep out all of those red state guns just getting across the city limits.

Nothing funny about inner city violence. If we give these young people that Democrats keep in squalor, a better opportunity by clearing the lead from their living environment, I'd rather my money went to that, than foreign nation building.

I agree. But they don’t want to solve the problem. They need it. It is sad.

You are correct and Lightfoot -- if that is her name -- is completely wrong: it matters not a twit where the guns come from.

One thing that would help: if the gangbangers knew their targets could shoot back, they might think twice. Nothing makes a shooter more nervous than knowing that they could be shot.

^^ One of the best posts of the year^^. The stupid dems had a chance to get anything they wanted out of a Yuge narcissist like Trump, especially with his liberal daughter right beside him. What a turn of events, instead, with all their never-ending bitching he has turned his rage on them and thanks President Trump, as of Oct. 2019, we have 156 new young conservative judges on the bench who will continue to be a bunion of the foot of progressives for a very, very long time.

    Yup!

As of October 17, 2019, the United States Senate has confirmed 156 Article III judges nominated by President Trump, including 2 Associate Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, 43 judges for the United States Courts of Appeals, 109 judges for the United States District Courts, and 2 judges for the United States Court of International Trade. There are currently 49 nominations to Article III courts awaiting Senate action, including 8 for the Courts of Appeals, 40 for the District Courts and 1 for the Court of International Trade. There are currently 4 vacancies on the U.S. Courts of Appeals, 89 vacancies on the U.S. District Courts, 2 vacancies on the U.S. Court of International Trade, and 15 announced federal judicial vacancies that will occur before the end of Trump's first term (4 for the Courts of Appeals and 11 for District Courts). Trump has not made any recess appointments to the federal courts.

In terms of Article I courts, as of October 17, 2019, the Senate has confirmed 12 judges nominated by Trump, including 2 for the United States Court of Federal Claims, 4 for the United States Tax Court, 4 for the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, 1 for the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and 1 for the United States Court of Military Commission Review. There are currently 9 nominations to Article I courts awaiting Senate action, including 5 for the United States Court of Federal Claims and 2 for the Tax Court and 2 for the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. There are currently 9 vacancies on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, 2 on the U.S. Tax Court, 0 on the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, 0 on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Services, and 0 on the U.S. Court of Military Commission Review. Trump designated Susan G. Braden and Margaret M. Sweeney as chief judges of the Court of Federal Claims.

In terms of Article IV territorial courts, as of June 12, 2019, Trump has not made any appointments or elevated any judges to the position of chief judge. There is currently 1 nomination to an Article IV court awaiting Senate action.

Counting all the Federal Courts I get 162 confirmed with 69 pending.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_federal_judges_appointed_by_Donald_Trump

860 total on the Federal Bench. Trump should appoint 27% of the Federal bench by the end of his first term. It's amazing that we are getting all theses Constitutionals seated in lifetime appointments on the 3rd branch.

Don't forget the living skeleton (?) RBG, and Thomas who I suspect will resign before the end of Trumps first Term.
