    Find new customers in America?
Change what you do, change what you sell...
You could completely change what you do and who you sell to if you really wanted to.

That’s not the point I was making.
Boeing still has solid customer base.
Australian Airlines (Quintas, I believe), just did a test flight on B787 from New York to Sydney and is about to test a flight London-Sydney.
They have customers and B737 Max troubles is not the end of the world.

Exactly. Take a look at Ukraine - they were trading mostly with Russia and now they replaced it with the EU. Realignment definitely involves some pain, but it’s not impossible.

Point is, this business has had since 2016 to prepare for Brexit, so if they haven't prepared and their business plummets, that's on them.

Why do you think that trading with an EU clone that has countries (states) who will be loyal to each other only will be better for the UK? We are going to be held for ransom by the US

Unlike NI and Scotland who are part of or separate countries, London has been the capital of England since Roman Times. It is the place where all the money of the people of the United Kingdom has been put in over the last half century to the detriment of the rest of the people of England. It holds the wealth of England. I am not English but any attempt at running off with the resources of the Capital of England created by the people of the rest of England by pretending it is independent ought to result in a call of treason and appropriate action.

:) 'The Dream Team' is still in Government, yes. The good and honest brave few fighting a guerrilla war against the wicked, sneaky, dishonest cowardly, opposition is still on ongoing. The evil Bercow is still on his Throne denying and defying the good peoples will.

    Lol

Such a Parliamentary chess game has never been seen before - never.

The Ukraine was never going to be taken into the EU - There was a coup in their country and there still is a war raging - and they were not a wealthy country in the first place - the breadbasket of Europe. I don't think that you can compare the two really.

Huh? A minority in Westminster want to Leave the EU. Londoners do not, on the whole, unlike most of the rest of the country. The City and the financial sector stays even though Merkel wanted to move it to Frankfurt - The City did not want Brexit at first but now just wants it done and dusted- as we all do. We have been in a stalemate for over three years now whilst those self serving Remoaner MPs sit snuggly on those green Benches denying the will of the people they serve.

The Union will not split over this, for all the bluster of the few, and if the legislation gets through the House this week there really will be little change as far as trade with the Continent is concerned. If it doesn't we might Leave without a 'deal' in place or have to have a GE first meaning that we have to wait even longer until Boris has a majority and the Remoaner in Parliament have been voted out of office.

We do not sell much to the EU but we do buy a lot from it. The EU makes all of the trade deals, within its jurisdiction, for the EU - sometimes we get a bite of said trade deals it is up to the EU who is allocated what - after, the 31st hopefully, we can trade directly that which now goes through the middle man as well as being able to trade freely elsewhere.

There is a transition period of, by the way the 'deal' is laid out in small chunks, about two years -within which all members involved can sort themselves out - or not - as they chose.

What tariff? What are you talking about? The whole point of the flawed deal is that there will be no tariffs between member states even as we Leave! If the Remoaners insist on not voting the deal through --- and we go over to WTO rules --- don't you think that Boris and the EU are ready for that? Of course they are - a deal will have been agreed for after we left as opposed to the wished for before we leave if these Remoaners keep blocking.

I don’t compare Ukraine to U.K., I’m just saying that it’s possible for a country to do serious realignment of its trade with the outside world.
If Ukraine can do it then U.K. can definitely get it done.

But we only sell 17% of our exports to the EU whereas up to 70% of our imports come from the EU; at massively inflated prices I must add.

The EU is guilty of keeping small developing countries poor because, outside their highly sub'ed produce, they lay heavy, uncompetitive tariffs upon any outside the Union, at will, who wish to compete. The EU is a ponzy scheme and a protection racket - I pray we go without a deal but whilst Gov are playing by the rules the opposition is decidedly not and they have the EU on board.

This game has been full of legal nuance - with pitfalls, some subtle some not, laid at every step of the way but Boris has kept hold of the Executive --- Bercow has been careful, by wording of draft bills, not to trample on the Queen's Consent ( as opposed to her assent) which is lent to the Executive --- which if needs must he can use for it is in EU and UK law the respected highest authority of the State.
