Bush is the one who left Iraq.

He signed a deal with Iraq that specified the date, that relinquished all rights to idepenent combat aneuvers, identified the equipement that would be left and what we would remove, that specified when it would be removd and identified the charges for left equipment and for removal.

That was the final SOFA of the last December of the Bush administration.

After transfer to Obama, Iraq stated in no uncertain terms that it had NO willingnes to further negotiate on our departure. In fact, their parliament would have had to agree, and they also said there was NO CHANCE.

And, that makes total sense from multiple stand points. Iraq was embracing Iran. And, they were embarking on a civil war that the USA would NOT have supported.

So sorry your "Obama did it" is just total nonsense.

ISIS was created during the Bush administration as an outfall of his decision to conquer Iraq - without even so much as a legitimate justification.

He left a free and safe Iraq and Obama wouldn’t work out another deal, bush gave us the Arab spring, which Obama failed. Facts

 

In Iraq, that's due to Bush and the Iraq government demanding that we leave. Obama didn't reconquer Iraq.

In Syria, our congress was adamantly opposed to action inside Syria. So, we used drones and had some amount of presence, but nobody - Dems, Republicans, our military, our state department ... nobody - proposed a plan that would have made more difference against ISIS in Syria.

Now, we have Trump, popping off ideas that have both US and Kurdish allies running for their lives - without even telling our own military what was going to happen!!

Obama approached a new deal almost immediately. Iraq stated clearly that there was absolutely NO possibility.
