I know what's being discussed. I don't know what in that discussion is upsetting you. Wanna clarify?

Ah... Of course! It's in the news.... the debates.... But you can't quote it, you can't send references, ... you can't even say what it is....

I can think of only two possibilities: Either you're full of it. Or... Uhm.... Well... I guess that's it.

If there appears "game changing" evidence, I think he'll reconsider. I think his comment might have been a little knee-jerk due to the unprecedented nature of this impeachment.

You speak of loyalty to the constitution. What are your feelings on the bill of rights? Particularly the first and second amendments. How loyal has the left been to them?

He's also a lot smarter than Pelosi.

Dem snafu: Impeachment trial will force many 2020 hopefuls to spend several key weeks in Washington instead of campaigning

    Uh oh.

Ukraine-gate took out their front runner. The Impeachment Trial takes out their replacement front-runner and every other Senator off the campaign trail. So, Warren, Sanders, Harris, Klobuchar, Booker and Bennet.

The Senate’s rules when the president is on trial are clear: Attendance is mandatory. Mitch McConnell has already announced that the proceedings will run six days a week (Sundays are off) beginning each day at 12:30 p.m. ET and running until … who knows when.

    Iowa voting is Feb 3.

Six Democratic presidential candidates will be stuck spending prime campaign time bogged down in the Capitol as jurors in Trump’s case instead of out on the trail in the early states stumping for votes. Their campaigns completely upended by the House’s impeachment fever. Remember a few weeks ago when Harris told colleagues, “I’m f***ing moving to Iowa,” in hopes of reviving her campaign? Uh, no she’s not. Thanks to Nancy Pelosi!

First Amendment? I am against flag burning and kneeling when the national anthem plays, but I will do my damnedest to defend the right of those who do that. How about you? As for the 2nd A, I'm Ok with it as written. Not as misinterpreted on Scalia's arbitrary legislation.

Now you answer! Do you support the 1st A? But that's for another thread. More importantly: Do you believe that this President who has been shown to have committed high crimes and misdemeanors should be impeached?

I responded to your questions. Let's see if you respond to mine.

NO OOJ from the Mueller investigation and Presidents have Executive Privilege vis-a-vis Congressional inquiry into the office and his advisers. If they want that testimony then vote a formal impeachment.

He never denied he spoke to a foreign leader about investigating foreign corruption IT"S HIS JOB to do so and everything else that is why we have ELECTIONS. And if anyone was endangering an election it was the Obama administration in cahoots with the DNC and Clinton campaign. There was NO Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

I think he was speaking to the charges at hand, we have no evidence of an impeachable act. And the Mueller report brought nothing which is why the Dems have tried everything else since including the bogus Ukraine thingy.

Take a look at the weekend news--especially the news surrounding Mulvaney. Your post is wrong.

    1. The U.S. Constitution does NOT require a formal vote to initiate an impeachment inquiry. There have been three previous impeachments in American history, & NONE had a formal vote to herald its start, yet they all progressed as required.
    2. In the famous call between Trump & the President of Ukraine, the word "corruption" was never mentioned. But Trump did say (after Ukraine mentioned buying a particular weapon from the U.S.), "I would like for you to do us a favor though." The favor was for Trump personally, NOT something for the benefit of the U.S. as a nation. Making it for Trump's personal benefit is what is illegal. If it had been for the benefit of the nation, it would have never been an issue.

    1. False, due process is a constitutional requirement, which is why all three previous impeachment inquiries began with a formal vote, which then facilitates due process.
    2. False, Trump is acting on behalf of the U.S in an effort to stem corruption emanating from Ukraine. One does not have to use the word "corruption" when referring to corrupt practices. The practices speak for themselves.

If some "John Doe" happens to be engaged in that corruption, that would be "John Doe's" problem, not a problem of the Administration trying to stem the corruption.

    1. While it is true that all three former impeachments began with a formal House vote, it was NOT required by the Constitution.
    2. False. Trump isn't fighting Ukraine corruption. Trump IS the corruption. His firing of the Ukrainian ambassador, who opposed his illegal actions with Ukraine, is part of the growing evidence proving his guilt. When they finally impeach him, the evidence will be strong & undeniable. It already is for those who care about the Constitution more than they care about Trump.

This is what I have said all along. The Republicans do not care about evidence. They don't care about guilt. All they care about is control. They will NEVER vote to convict Trump under any circumstances. Mitch McConnell only cares about insuring that his side wins and everyone else loses. Even if there was evidence that Trump committed high treason, McConnell and the GOP would refuse to convict. They just don't care. They will always put party before country, just like they did when Reagan committed treason by selling our weapons to Iran (an enemy nation, which just 4 years earlier was holding Americans hostage), and gave all the money (against the orders of Congress) to a drug cartel and terrorist organization. The Republicans did everything they could to undermine and block Congressional investigations into the Iran-Contra Affair, just like McConnell is pledging to do now for Trump. All they care about is their own power.

Mulvaney also said no quid pro quo. So did Ukraine. You are falling for the dem clown show false narrative. Notice now how it still says Trump withheld lethal funds to get dirt on Biden yet no one has testified to that. Now looking into 2016 (past) corruption is impeachable according to the dem clown show.

If you mean the whole Trump Presidency. It certainly is a fraud!

But if you are just showing with how much pious faith and devotion you follow the "idol's" command to not believe your own eyes and ears.... I don't even know what you're doing in a political discussion forum. One would think a religious forum might be more appropriate.

It's not enough for you to push false narratives about Trump, so you create false narratives about other posters.

There is no "evidence" against Trump. Oh sure, if you hold your tongue just right, while reciting the magic incantation, some people will "see" evidence appear.

It amazes me that one hoax after another continue to suck our attention from meaningful work. At this point, it has to about more than just protecting our corrupt officials. All of the nonsense being foisted upon us is doing real harm to the country. For some reason, that doesn't seem to bother the hoaxters. It's as though the real goal is to do damage to the country.

Look.... your level of devotion is probably considered a positive thing in some settings. But if doesn't go very far in a Political forum.

The evidence of Trump's criminal behavior has been public, at a bare minimum, since the Mueller Report. Since then, he has not only confessed to impeachable crimes (and just plain crimes) but he has carried out many of them in public.

But, of course, he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody in front of thousands of witnesses and before the cameras,... and you'll keep denying it. So of what use are you on this forum? I ask sincerely. Trump has shown that he can convince his followers to refuse to believe their own eyes and ears.

When he's in prison, and has nothing else to do but write his autobiography, I am sure that even he will confess his amazement at how easy it was for him to convince such a large number of his followers to deny what was right before their eyes.
