It means that in next year's presidential election you're probably going to be voting for a senile racist fraud who clings to religious nonsense and a poisonous, morally bankrupt organization that protects child abusers.

Oh, and he clings to guns, too...

LOL - It's funny how you're probably going to be voting for a for a senile racist fraud who clings to religious nonsense and a poisonous, morally bankrupt organization that protects child abusers.

Being how Biden clings to his Bible and his shotgun, it's little wonder the Left's God and Savior, the Obamessiah, won't give him His Blessing.

I have noticed in recent years that some on the religious right have taken to trashing the dreaded "Secularism"

The Radical Islamist extremists also hate the evil "Secularism". Two sides of the same extremist control freak coin.

Joe Biden is a Catholic !!!

We can't have a Catholic as POTUS !'
Biden holds his loyalty to the Pope not America or the DNC.
Remember the St's Patrick's Brigade during the Mexican-American War ?

    I digress.
Actually the reason there was never a Catholic that won the Presidency until 1960 was because of the St. Patrick Brigade.
That was the real reason for the anti Irish immigrant feelings in America back in the day, the St.Patrick's Brigade.

Joe Biden is a CINO.

That may have been part of it, but anti-Catholic sentiment in our predominantly White Anglo-Saxon Protestant country goes all the way back to the Settlement and Colonial eras when Catholics were openly persecuted

Catholic Church in the Thirteen Colonies
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Church_in_the_Thirteen_Colonies

For many of the same reasons Catholics became a target of the WASPs in the Ku Klux Klan.

This (Bold) is a good assessment of "Secularism" - in a way it is putting humans in the place of God from a human perspective but - this assumes that making law is "God's Place" and on this I disagree. "Give unto to Caesar what is Caesars and to me what is mine" Jesus was a secularist - who went against the "Gods Law" tradition.

The problem with Theocracy (the reverse of Secularism) - in its many forms - is the claim "what God Says"

Some human .. be it IMAM, Priest, Shaman - claiming to know defacto "What God Says and/or thinks" is "putting a human in the place of God".

The first question that has to be addressed is "which God are we talking about" Zeus - Allah - Thor ? How about the Gods of the Bible .. Are we talking El Shaddai (God of Abraham) Chief God of the Sumerian/Near East Pantheon - "The Most High"

Are we talking YHWH - God of Moses - Warrior God - a God who later becomes an amalgamation of various other Gods ?

Or are we talking the God of Jesus ? - a God who had much different ideas about Law than this YHWH fellow ?

Second - since no one can prove what God says or thinks .. it is absurd nonsense to claim otherwise by saying "this is what God says"

Since we don know what God says - your "what God Says doesn't matter" statement is correct. How can "what God Says" matter to Law - if we don't know for sure what God says ?

Then there is the problem of interpretation - even if one claims "The Bible" - this is some human interpretation of "what God says" and there are numerous different interpretations of law - depending on what denomination of Christianity one is referring to.

We get all kinds of people making all kinds of "God says" claims - some of these claims are not even found in the Bible. Claims with respect to Alcohol - Abortion - and numerous other things.

Assuming we were to adopt "religious law" - which human interpretation is the correct one ?

no one is suggesting we have a religious government....
we have a representative government where the people elect people based on their values the representatives elected then use their values to govern under the constraints of the constitution .

You suggested that we make law the basis of "God's Law" = a form of Theocracy.

i suggested that our founding fathers took concepts from the christian understanding of God to form the constitution. that is much different than forming a theocracy .
The ideas that they took from Christianity ensure freedom and fairness for everyone.

I comment earlier and its the churches right to do what they wish with regards to biden.

I took communion on my last visit (wedding) back a couple years ago, i'm sure I wasn't officially qualified to do so based on my 20 years of absence from any religion or confession, but I really didn't give a dam, its just a wafer, I think if I told them all my sins they'd refuse to offer me communion as well. I'm republican but i'm actually pro choice.
So Uncle Joe is in good company < me.

    .does this matter? YES!

27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.
29 For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgment on themselves.
30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
31 But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.

It's hard to keep politics and religion separate. Impossible, even. Especially in this very religious country.

Irony alert, aside from the minor difference that Trump doesn't cling to religion so much as feign it very poorly to impress his low-IQ religious base.

This is what you said " yes i brought up secularism all it is is putting humans in the place of God..

secularism is just this. what God says doesn't matter lets do what we think is good for mankind"

You are suggesting that we should use "what God says" to make law. This is a form of theocracy.

Of course there are ideas - such as the Golden Rule - that can also be found in the Teachings of Jesus. That is completely different than getting rid of "Secularism" I think you may be confused as to the meaning of secularism.

What exactly are we to replace secularism with ? In Secularism the authority of Gov't comes from "Consent of the Governed" - we the people. What would you like this to be replaced with "Divine Right" ? where the authority comes from God.

Where should the authority of Gov't come from if not God - or the People ?

I did not say hint or suggest that we should use any religious rules to form government or laws.
That is a gross misrepresentation of what i said.
