It is one if those things that makes discussions with conservatives so difficult, the fluidity of truth.

Trump clearly used hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars in an effort to force the Ukrainian government to assist Trump in his reelection efforts and two of his operatives were arrested for funneling Russian money into Trump's campaign.

That conservatives are okay with this, just goes to show, in my mind, that morality is as fluid with many conservatives, as is the truth.

Just like the Democrats tend to read things "between the lines" that are not actually there in the Constitution, likewise, they "hear between the lines" voices that are not there. Its been a problem with the Left for some time, its all those drugs they experiment with, sometimes cause other voices to be heard in their own heads.

What disturbs me is the fact that people appear to think that Trump's job requires this kind of corruption.

 

The assist in his re-election efforts is an attempt to create a protected class. The left is currently babbling about how nobody is above the law, and that is quite true. We're going to find out what Biden and son were up to in Ukraine.

You got enough of the transcript. The actual recording of the conversation would probably be the end of this impeachment nonsense. The facts are that both participants say there was no pressure.

The actual recording could be the end of this, but a lot of people think that it's good for Trump to run with impeachment. It makes democrats look like complete morons. You probably disagree, but how would a normal person see this?

The transcript wasn't made public because there is no actual transcript. This phone call wasn't recorded; it was recreated and some damning info was omitted.

Think about it: If the call was recorded, why not just release the audio recording?

The claim about the "non-transcript" is that it was evidence of an impeachable offense. Now I'm hearing that no, there is another real transcript out there.

So the impeachment hearings all seem to be based on a lie. Color me shocked.

 

There was a memo of the çall, but not a transcript. Now that the testimonies have mostly concluded the transcripts of those are about to come out, as well as public hearings.

Everyone who has testified has reportedly given damning evidence, under oath.

That you would characterize it as a lie, is quite telling.

 

Actually, Schiff has released the worst he could glean from the testimony and it is underwhelming.

The longer this charade goes on the more it will damage the Democrat Party.

Look, we have video of Biden talking about withholding funds from Ukraine because he wanted a judge dismissed. Did anybody on the left care about that? No! We have years of hearing from lefties about Mueller, and now that he turned into a nothingburger, they came up with this phone call.

Let me make this perfectly clear. I, and many others, think that this has absolutely nothing to do with Ukraine or Russia or anything. It's just about Trump, and when this Ukraine thing fizzles out, there will be something else for the left to get angry about.

I guess I'll have to clearly answer my own question because no one else seems to want to or be able to. This whole scenario is being carried out by the democrats to try and damage President Trump. There you have it, a one sentence explanation.
