I don't fear for the country. We Blue Stater can dump the red states and hardly notice. WE are what drives almost all aspects of the economy. We have the resources, the wealth, the high tech, academia, food production, water, minerals... you name it, we have it. As far as I'm concerned, America died the night trump was elected. I've done my grieving and now it's time to move on and agree to break up the country - Constitutionally.
