Mexicos problems ARE our problems. Those cartels are also dealing in human trafficking across our borders as well as the drugs, and now US citizens are being killed. Our fates are tied together especially since congress can't get serious about border security and want to fight the president every step of the way and not combine physical barriers with other means of border security.

    Agree....
And just like inner city violence that spills into other neighborhoods, the same is happening in Mexico where we have thousands of Americans who call it home during much of the year. In no small way is the proliferation of AMERICAN guns a huge factor. Unless we address this as well, it will continue like gun violence does here.....no different.

Guns and training is what Mexico needs. Guns in the hands of people who are willing to take the law into their own hands. Their government is obviously a corrupt pile of garbage. Mexican revolutionaries/vigilantes with US air and SF support sounds about right.

Again Mexico is a sovereign nation. You would invade a sovereign nation?

Legalize all drugs in the US and Mexico and you will knock the wind out of cartels. And not a single shot would be fired.

I'll pass on that, though I think some reforms are in order.

Many Politicians, Judges, Police, and Ranking Military in Mexico are on the cartel payroll, But are also in many cases threatened with the deaths of their whole families if they do not comply.

I forget how you say it in Spanish, but it translated to English as "take the gold or the lead"

We are not sending full auto's, They were unsuccessful. You did not read the article. The cartels have sources outside the US for those as well as the RPG's they possess.

We don't sell grenades in stores, so where are the cartels getting them?

    Not from the US.

Not if you force by law people to buy it in special stores.

It's time for Mexico to "wage war" on the cartels?

Actually, they did that back in 2006, and have been in a military conflict with them ever since. Over 115,000 people have died from this ongoing war with the cartels in Mexico. This notion that Mexico needs to "wage war" on the cartels now because 9 Americans were killed shows a complete lack of understanding of what has been going down in Mexico these past 13 years

And you think we caught everyone with just these two ? It’s just the tip of the iceberg.
When individuals are each responsible for hundreds of guns, it doesn’t take long to arm the cartel.

Thanks to the NRA, people on the Right will have the ability to defend themselves from people like you when you gain full power.

If their conditions are affecting us badly, then we either need to deal with it there or seal the border completely. What we have had for the past decade or more is not working.
We send special forces into other nations all the time to train rebels/revolutionaries/pro US factions. We can certainly do the same in Mexico.

Ahh, sure they do. They spend millions in siphoned money from foreign and domestic gun makers into the pockets of law makers getting what they want.

Glad to hear you admit the gun laws or lack there of, are contributing to arming criminals both here and in Mexico.
