Just what the US needs more Fentanyl deaths and meth. This is our Democrat Open border at its best.

Fentanyl Seizures Up 20%, Meth Up 200%

On Tuesday, as the nation learned about the murders of nine American women and children at the hands of Mexican drug cartels, the Senate Homeland Security Committee held a hearing on threats to the homeland, including some that emanate from Mexico.

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) noted that the apprehension of illegal immigrants crossing the Southwest Border has declined somewhat from earlier highs, but the drug flow has not slowed.

That whole war on drugs is going swimmingly. Which Democrats are for open borders? Bonus points if you can provide quotes and policies to that effect?

Americans should stop importing massive amounts of illegal drugs. Flooding countries with our narcodollars seems to have a destabilizing effect.

Nothing in that article says where those seizures have been made. I suspect most of that is found in trucks / cars etc. trying to cross at border crossings.

Mexico needs military help -- a total kill of the cartels in the tens of thousands of members then a mop-up to kill cartel survivors.

Wouldn't it be easier to just stop buying the drugs the cartels are selling to us?

We have to get immediate results. 70,000 people died last year.

That's more than died by guns in all crimes, suicides, accidents, and mass shootings.

That's more than died by automobile.

The problem demands immediate military action.

A national addiction problem demands "immediate military action"? Wouldn't it be better to address the actual issue? Why are so many Americans killing themselves with drugs, alcohol, and suicide, and what can we do about it?

The answer to those questions does not involve the military.

Could you provide context along with legislative action taken that would further the goal of open borders?

We’d just be creating power vacuums to be filled by the next group that sees an opening. Think Saddam Hussein.

Killing as many as we can as fast as we can seldom works.

Sanctuary cities just opt not to do the job of the federal government.

That's not what you asked.. All they need do is cross over where there are sanctuary cities and they are safe, thanks to the democrats that promote those rogue policies..

What other jobs of the federal government do you believe cities are responsible for?

how do we do that? The only ways I can think of is 1. prevent the drugs coming into the country i.e. really tighten the border, and 2. arrest the dealers who sell drugs to people. The cops know who the dealers are and where they sell their drugs, but rarely does anything happen to them.

Explain it if you feel so inclined.
It’s not the obligation of cities to check and report immigration status. If city law enforcement interacts with undocumented individuals their only responsibility is to address the infraction that has occurred. They’re not obligated to tack on the duties of the federal government.

No you didn't accept the Map of the Sanctuary cities along the borders or the Leftist ROGUE policies that protect them in those cities and states .. Any of that ring a bell or are you just gonna continue trolling for fun as usual ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

So you’re calling me a troll now? Pretty sure that’s a TOS violation. I should now, my post to you was deleted for that very reason. Wanted to apologize for that by the way. Wouldn’t have suggested you were a troll if I knew you wouldn’t appreciate the moniker.

How do we do what? Not buy the drugs the cartels are trying to sell us? Don't buy the drugs. If you have to have something, drink or smoke pot. If Americans did that, the cartels would go out of business very quickly.

Americans are the reason the cartels are so rich, and Americans really don't want to talk about that.
