America can no longer be trusted

The Guardian reports the French president, Emmanuel Macron, "has said Nato is in the throes of “brain death” and European countries can no longer rely on the US to defend its allies.".

Among many other factors this is a direct consequence of Trump's decision to abandon an important ally in Syria, prompting "uncoordinated aggressive action by another Nato ally, Turkey, in an area where our interests are at stake,” namely, the Mideast and its oil.

Trump could be impeached before Christmas. Unfortunately, the Framers never imagined a President like Trump, and so they did not include incompetence in their grounds for impeachment, only "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

That said, if the House impeaches and if the Senate removes Trump -- not likely under current circumstances -- it would be good riddance to an incompetent President.

Allow me to illustrate with a few examples, in a matter of speaking, the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Trump Mideast policy is so favorable to Israel, the U.S. can no longer be trusted. The U.S. has been tossed out as a Mideast broker, replaced by Russia.

After a year and a half of Trump's trade war with China, Wall Street is finally recovering because it appears that the tariffs Trump caused are going to be removed. Millions of dollars were lost during that year and a half period.

Iran is closer to making a nuke. Why? Because in May 2018, Trump removed the U.S. from a working agreement with Iran called the JCPOA that permanently barred Iran from making a nuke. Iran has resumed her nuclear research, destroyed the largest oil refinery on the planet, seized and mined ships, and even shot down a very expensive American aircraft all because of Trump's incomprehensible decision and his harsh economic sanctions.

Trump is anti-Earth. He is removing the U.S. from the Paris Accord, joining thirteen other nations who have not signed the accord, some, like Iran and Turkey, are the largest emitters. He appoints EPA directors who are disenchanted with EPA policies. His appointments are industry friendly, kind of like the fox in the hen house scenario.

Trump's policies with respect to NATO, Ukraine, Turkey, the Assad regime in Syria, and the Middle East strongly favor Russia. Trump has never admitted that Russia interfered in our 2016 election, and he is severely critical of our intelligence agencies and the FBI.

In short, Trump gives new meaning to the term, incompetence.

 

Good!!!! They can pay to defend themselves for once..

 

Democrats been saying "America can't be trusted" forever. Obama went around the world apologizing for America with 1 hand while drone striking with the other.

 

As if France hadn't pulled out of NATO decades ago. Second we didn't abandon the Kurds.

 

Let's defend America. 300 million guns and counting. Bring it.

 

And I thought that NATO was for mutual defense. They need to pull their own weight when able.

We are going to save a bunch of money.

 

I'm totally cool with getting rid of NATO and making a new alliance.

 

Good now they expect less and DO more to protect themselves. No skin off our ass!

Europe needs to learn to stand up for itself.

And it’s time to leave Syria.

 

Trump pulled the American troops out so that Turkey could bomb the Kurds. He then ordered the troops to guard the oil fields so that the Kurds couldn't use the oil for revenue. The ruthless thugs that run Turkey, Syria, and Russia all praised Trump for being such a weak pushover.

 

The democrats should love it. They are usually opposed to our huge defense budget. If we pull out of NATO, we can save billions of dollars.

Absolute Nonsense. First the oil there is nearly worthless according to a variety sources and production there has been in decline for decades. Protecting for the Kurds not from them in any case.

Second we are about to try to negotiate some sort of deal between the Kurds and the Turks that might finally bring that long boiling flash point to an end. Something that no one has even tried to do in decades at least not sense the Brits And French while they were dating lines on a map after WWI didn't see fit to create Kurdistan while the were at it.

 

Remember those leftist that signed up with ISIS under Mr. Obatard presidency? Well the Kurds are accepting volunteers. So if you feel that strongly about them then let me suggest you might support them monetarily or among them or even both.. I will personally pitch in for your Kevlar if you decide to go over there..

 

I keep forgetting, Trump is the smartest, bestest president ever. Him with his huge beautiful brain that everyone is always praising. Trump, and only Trump can solve these issues.

None of that has a thing to do with this. We have been paying too much for NATO for years. If the other NATO members do not trust us, we should leave and let them pay a lot more.

I find it so funny, the world is on one page, Trump and his supporters on another. What Nancy Pelosi said, really is true, with Trump, all roads lead to Putin. NATO was created to keep Russia in a box.
