Next - time dilation - if you jump into a star ship and travel at speeds close to speed of light you will arrive to your destination almost anywhere in space within your lifetime, but on earth thousands and millions of years would pass.
Einstein’s work pretty much put the foundation for future interstellar travel.

The US won none of them, Korea a bitter and bloody stalemate, still not finished today, a loss.
Iraq, a waste of our tax money without a solution, stalemate again, which is a loss.
Afghanistan the longest lasting war the US has been involved and the so called enemy is again advancing, no end in sight.
Syria, the US pulls out, abandons its ally, tucks tail, job not finished, leaving troops ride through a hail of stones, like beaten dogs, which they did not deserve, they did a great job for everybody. What a horrible situation that must have been for them.
Those are arse kickings my friend, serious arse kickings.

 

From military perspective we won Afghanistan and Iraq war.
If your definition of winning means that the losing side lives happily ever after than the problem is in your views.

Being one of strongest economies in the world and leading technological and science power gives the freedom to denie USA to erect statues of foreign leaders in our capital.

What would this statue be for? Our countries are not really allied anymore. Reagan plays no role for Germans.

Just look at your ambassador in Berlin. He gets isolated and no meetings with state officials.

Without us, Humanity propably would never have reached the status it has. There is no nationality in the world that did so much for technology and science than Germans and thats a matter of fact.

Without Fritz Habers work, there would be no chemical synthetized fertilizer. Modern agriculture as we know it would not exist and 2/3 od world population would starve

Without Heisenberg or Otto Hahn we would have no nuclear power.

Without Robert Koch, we would not learned what bacteria are. Vaccination would not exist.

Without Konrad Zuse, we would not have Computers today.

Modern space age was possible because von Braun and Oberth.

There would be no cars without Daimler who invented internal combustion engine.

Without von Guttenberg, you would not even have books. He invented book printing. This allowed for first time in history that knowledge could be mass transferred and stored. It also generated the crack in religion. The end of dogma and the rise of reason.

Without Gregor Mendel we would not know about how life develops, how genetics work

The entire technological world around you, is based on german inventions.

So what place do we have in a world that was build from our people?

We know our place quite well. As the leasing center of humanities science and knowledge. We have evry reason to be proud for our achievements. And part of our pride allows us to say no regarding a statue for a demented B-actor placed in our capital.

We have no statue of chancellor Helmut Kohl, the father of reunion. What makes you think we would place one of a demented B-Actor up?

Historically speaking, most victorious wars don't end with surrender documents being signed in a railcar (WW1), on the deck of a battleship (WW2) or at a Courthouse (American Civil War). Historically even victorious wars are not obvious clean cut affairs. They are ragged messy events with lots of ambiguity.

 

The question is what did Beethoven, kant Bismark do for American? Sure we know they but what impact as great as Reagan did they have on our country? Hitler by far had the greatest impact but a statuof him would not be liked by anyone.
