The thing is, her ideas will only make it into law if Congress is on the same page. Look at our Congress. They can't pass anything worthwhile. Hell, cannabis legalization is the one issue that is popular across the spectrum, yet here we are. Again, I am not afraid of the left's pipedreams.

    That's a pretty crappy excuse.

As I said- I love her foreign policy. However, her VERY far left socialist ideals are pretty nuts.

If that works for you- so be it.

She really is and that's my main problem with her. I agree with her foreign policy and her immigration views but once you remove those two things she is basically the same as the rest of the Democrat candidates.

Her immigration and foreign policy views demonstrate to me that she is at least a somewhat rational person. She's the type of person who I would be more than willing to sit down with and discuss things respectfully. We won't agree on everything obviously but I would be happy to listen to her viewpoints and try to better understand her reasons for having them.

The other candidates? Not so much.

She is the definition of someone who I can agree to disagree with I think.

While I am currently a registered member of the Republican Party I am not one who votes on entrenched party lines. I voted for Obama first go around (not the second time) and I voted for Trump. I vote on policy, not party. I am fully aware that I will never have a candidate that I can vote for who agrees with me 100% on every single issue. I simply vote based on whoever most closely aligns with my own personal beliefs regardless of party affiliation.

I enjoy discussing things with those who hold opposing beliefs way more than with those who agree with me. I believe that allows one to grow as a person. But in order to do that I have to know that it is worthwhile. I won't even entertain the talking points of those who I believe have lost their minds but I am more than willing to talk with those who I believe are thinking rationally and have common sense who happen to hold different beliefs than I do.

Bernie and Lizzy have lost their ever loving minds in my book and to me based on their extremely radical policies pretty much anything they say I dismiss outright at this point. Biden I'd be willing to listen to and Tulsi is someone who I would be excited to have a discussion with.

Isn't it interesting how many on the right like Gabbard ... I think she would be a very tough candidate for the right to beat.

AS I UNDERSTAND SOME OPEN BORDER DEMOCRATS

It Is Profound To Advocate Borders and Make It Clear.

Well thats the difference between Gabbard and the rest-you can disagree on specifics if you have the same beneficial end game in mind.

The wall is case in point-she recognizes national sovereignty is a thing. Im fine with give and take on the specifics as long as that goal is reached.

Then I look at Bernie, and others-who want to abolish ICE, support open immigration, etc-at that point we don't have the same goals in mind.

Tulsi's "Proclamation" is about as "profound" as...

The last presidential nominee to actually support open borders was Ronald Reagan, he called his plan the "North American Accord" and the goal of his plan was to establish a North American equivalent of the European Union

I agree - I think she would have a good shot at capturing the anti -establishment vote - a group that decided the last election and will be even more a deciding factor in this election. The electorate is in a foul mood - and nothing can be taken for granted.

Other candidates support decriminalizing illegal border crossings, which is pretty much the same thing.

They neglect to inform the low info crowd that none of these things are feasible, and even with a democrat congress its destined to fail.
