How comes i saw your country as shithole when i was there?

you arrive at airport and there are pigeons inside the terminal, ******** on chairs. Africans and hispanics evrywhere. Rotten down infrastructure. Extreme number of beggars and homeless folks.

Los Angeles appeared so disgustingly filthy. New York even more.

This year i traveled New Caledonia. I could chose to fly via Los Angeles or Tokyo. I did chose Tokyo. I dont even want do transfer in USA. I have hygienic standards that your country doesnt match. When you walk through your airports you have the constant urge to shower.

Water is free in every restaurant in the US. In Germany, you must pay for it. :(

The shithole city was called Gastonia. I saw 3 cities there. Los Angeles which was filthy as ****. New York which was simply disgusting (Empire State Building was nice though) and Gastonia which was the worst of all.

Apparently, your perception is disturbed, bro.
I think you never were in the US.
Such false stories are spread by Russkie Kreml media, e.g. "RT german". :(

    I was there 2018 May. :)

You denie the fact that there are extreme high numbers of blacks and hispanics in Los Angeles or New York?

I did not like it there. You want force me now to like something i saw as not very positive?

In the end it was my own fault. We went to the cities. I think we should have concentrated on nature. Grand Canyon, Yellowstone ect. Avoid the cities and
enjoy nature. I cant blame your country for my bad decission.

In Madagascar we avoided the cities and had a great time.

What i enjoyed though was making fun about your people. My girl and i have the habit to give people funny names.

In hotel we had "el gigante", fatophis the 3rd, land whale ect.

We should rename every builing, place or other location named after JFK, Carter and other doubtworthy presidents into "Reagan-" (school, place, library). Ok let's share it between Trump, Nixon and Reagan.

You know, I don't think anybody really gives a crap what you have to say.

Well, then again, I guess I can see the humor in some of your inane posts.

It is a truism of diplomacy that Ambassadors are often appointed as patronage and sometimes even purposely chosen to be irascible, though that's not often the case with allies. Diplomacy is like medicine, the higher functionaries are often incompetent window dressing, the attaches and nurses know the real knowledge and do the real work

Makes sense. Since Grenell is ambassador, the american embassy in Berlin is virtually cut off from german political world.

Grenell is not invited to high ranking events. He sits in his embassy, posts pictures of his dog

It is also obvious that re 'without a shot being fired' that was as much due to the French and British nuclear policies re threat of Soviet invasion, which was much more aggressive than the US's, with France openly stating it had no qualms at all about launching their nukes first, Britain somewhat less aggressive with a stated policy of not hesitating to use tactical nukes if an invasion was launched, and the US doing little but planning elaborate 'strategic retreats' and chem war defenses like 'Iron Forge'. US presence wasn't entirely useless, of course, feet on the ground and in the air matter but the main deterrent was France, who was not a NATO member and followed its own nuclear policy.

We weren't in the war then as far as supplying the Soviets; as I said, the British supplied them with the means to hold out. Churchill saved the day there.

It's interesting to speculate if we could have beat Germany without the Soviets. I trend toward thinking we could have, myself; the Soviets nor the British could not have without us, and if we weren't supplying them we could easily have dominated them, but it would have added two or three years to the war. The hang up would have been if the French in North Africa had chosen to resist our landings there, and whether or not Britain would have still been a viable country without the Soviet front.

It was LBJ's policies of a huge draft and a huge war in Vietnam (543,000 troops in-country plus 77,000 in Thailand and large contingents of support troops in the Philippines and Okinawa) plus LBJ's concomitantly making huge outlays for his so-called "Great Society" that really put the USA behind the 8-ball financially.

There's never been a dumber somebeach in the presidency or a worse commander-in-chief.

The Soviets were Communists and even dumber than LBJ.

No, thats the point. Merkel basicly gave the order to ignore him. He doesnt has any contacts to high officials. He is treated as a paria

    https://www.spiegel.de/internationa...-grenell-is-isolated-in-berlin-a-1247610.html

Since arriving in Berlin as U.S. ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell has flouted diplomatic conventions and attempted to interfere in domestic politics. He has since become politically isolated in the German capital.

In Berlin, the representatives of Germany's most important ally usually have the easiest jobs. Many previous U.S. ambassadors were major political and social figures in the capital, enjoying excellent connections to the Chancellery and federal ministries, and playing host to the most powerful and influential personalities in Germany.

Barack Obama's ambassador, Philip Murphy, invited longtime adversaries Helmut Kohl and Merkel to his dining room in 2012 for discreet talks aimed at reducing the tensions between them. By the time his tenure was over after four years, he had made so many friends he had to rent out the Olympic Stadium for his goodbye party.

In conversations with parliamentarians, the ambassador apparently pushed hard for invitations to visit lawmakers in their constituencies. Many said no. Who, after all, wants to be seen in their home district with Grenell? And those who did invite him, didn't all have the best things to say about the experience.

Too bad you were on the front line in the Cold War.

But on the bright side, we're responsible for Germany becoming the free and capitalist society it is today. And we've provided for your defense over the last 75 years.

I am aware of your story that you inhabit a city of former East Germany. I saw photos of his statue and did not know it was only 7 ft tall. Berlin owes a debt to Reagan so owes him honor. Too bad t troubled kids on the left hate him so much. I believe most Germans are happy to honor him. That has nothing to do with Trump.
