Its incredible that even Democrats would allow this to happen and happen often. They create sanctuary states, counties and cities to protect those that broke our laws from our own law enforcement and in the process release illegal alien criminals to prey on americans. Authorities in Montgomery County, Maryland, ignored an ICE detainer request for an illegal alien accused of child sex abuse, allowing him to be released on bail, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said. ICE on Tuesday lodged a detainer with the Montgomery County Detention Center for Luis Fredy Hernandez-Morales, a Guatemalan national living in the U.S. illegally, according to an ICE statement provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation. However, ICE said local authorities did not honor the detainer, and allowed him to be released Wednesday on bond. https://dailycaller.com/2019/11/08/montgomery-county-releases-child-sex-abuser/
If you want help from the locals either put somebody there to pick them up or pay to have them held until ICE can find the time to come pick them up. The local jails aren't unpaid federal prisons.
If he's a danger, you hustle over and pick him up. Or better yet camp out waiting for him to get out.
Will you still feel the same way if next week you read this guy sexually abused a child in your neighborhood?
Be realistic, ice cant be at every towns jail or every states prison. Heres how its supposed to work when you go to jail or prison they IDENTIFY you thats the first thing they do. If you are illegal its their responsiblity to notify ICE before that person is released. Democrat sanctuaries refuse to do that and just release these illegal convicts back into our society The purpose? is to dilute the races and hopefully make they all legal so they can vote democrat.
Your correct on the first part and that is what happens. Once an immigrant is arrested, their information gets put into a federal database that is shared with Immigration and Customs Enforcement The problem occurs on the second part. Important legal point #2: holding an immigrant past the point when they should be released, just so that ICE can pick them up, is unconstitutional. Multiple courts have said so, and immigrants can sue the police for unlawful holding. If you dig deep enough into these you usually find that ICE screwed up somewhere along the line in not getting the guy when they could/should have. In this case it was probably in the transfer.
You're saying you care about the "constitutional rights" of a non-citizen who's been accused of sexually abusing a child? That's why the local facility can't hold the guy a day or two? Really?
Then the parents of the child should sue Montgomery County for negligence and possibly child endangerment.
