I met AOC once and she Smelled Really GOOD.

A True Personification of the "Tasty Latina" stereotype.

Iowa really isn't that important (in terms of delegates), it all comes down to SC and Super Tuesday.

She is a cute little kid.

Ava is a Great Little Comedian.

Even if I may not agree with the Sinister Motivations of Her RW "Handlers", how could anybody not like her (personally)?

I've noticed that when certain unnamed posters start off discussing others using talking points all the time, they must surely be projecting. Especially when they use the same couple of websites as ad homenims over and over again. It's as if they don't see that they themselves are doing what they accuse others of doing. Hmm.

Why, I'm glad you asked that question, AJ. I am, of course, here to help educate you when you ask these questions. So, let's begin.

There were indeed many candidates who were certainly - on paper at the very least - more qualified to be prez than Trump. The funny thing is, as Jimmy Carter and Mondale learned against Reagan, as Bush 41 and Dole learned against Clinton, as McCain and Romney learned against Obama, and as Hilla learned against Trump, mere competency cannot overcome someone with a plan, a vision, and charisma. Whether you like it or not, Reagan, Bill Clinton, Obama, and Trump had all three, certainly far more than their opponents had. Hell, Hilla was practically a charismatic black hole, certainly in comparison to her husband. Heck, even in comparison to Dole and Romney.

I know, I know - you have anger against Trump for winning against your girl. In fact, that's a part of WHY she lost and why her supporters could not save her. They could not come up with any kind of real argument against Trump as could none of the GOP candidates so all they had WERE insults, not a very strong argument in and of itself. I have said it before, I don't think he's qualified. But it doesn't matter. I asked this time and again on this forum, and you making thousands upon thousands of posts at this time guaranteeing Hilla would win must have seen them. I kept asking why I should vote FOR Hilla? And the only answers I got from her supporters? "It's her turn/She haz Vagina" and "She's not Trump." No actual reasons to vote FOR her, just against Trump. Meanwhile even I could come up with reasons to vote for Trump. He said he would do better running the economy than Hilla would - which is one of the few things I absolutely agreed with him on. He did tap into the zeitgeist about illegals running amok in the country, which to a lesser degree I also agree with. He agreed that America should be made great (with an underlying message that it should BE viewed as great) which - I won't get into all the reasons, but I agreed with that as well although possibly in a different manner than the way he meant it. I didn't even like the guy but I could see where he had a plan and a vision. He gave his supporters a reason to vote FOR him - something I never saw from the GOP candidates save maybe Walker and he had no staying power.

What did the GOP candidates running for the nom have against that? Not a lot. As far as I could see, they appeared to be more in line with the GOP establishment than with what voters cared about. Right there, Trump had a huge advantage against them, he had a bit of an underdog vibe with him against people who were seen as very establishment types. And a lot of people just don't TRUST establishment types, AJ. I can well understand why the LW might have a hard time with that as it's becoming clear that more and more of the LW are starting to think of the government as God, but that's a discussion for another time.

Nevertheless, In some ways, Trump and Sanders were fighting the same war against the establishment of their respective parties in 2016 - the only difference being that Sanders lost his war and Trump won it, maybe because there's more of a streak of independence amongst Republicans than Dems especially in the midwest and away from the coastal areas, I dunno. But I fear you will never understand that.

This person disagrees with you, AJ: This poster feels that this young girl should be doxxed and shut down. I certainly hope you have strong words for him.

    Excellently stated.

Sometimes I think we should have a sub forum here that consists of your replies to AJ.

    I would totally subscribe.

Eh, it's a three-day weekend so I have the time - and I just finished re-learning how to type. Did that post in matter of minutes. I'm actually prouder of that than I am of the meaning of the response.

There's an 8th-grader in one of my classes that is actually reading The Art of War. Kids like him give me hope.

So you're a Big Fan of Harassment and Trolling?

Between being glued to DU 24/7 and posting 10 Breitbart Threads a Day, and Posting Misinformation based on Black Female Demographics, I must say that I am actually very impressed by your stamina.

Sorry to interrupt your PMs with Stuart.

Are you choreographing your next "Offensive" against me?

Anyway, a Lot of Dems don't like Biden or Liz. So maybe Bloomberg fills the vacuum?

    Carry on. :salute:

It would be great. Bernie, this week looks very sick and frail.

It reminds me of how Bill Clinton looked after his heart issues.

You - don't appreciate the irony of your saying both ideas in the same post, do you?

Only if you define deconstructing your posts as some kind of offensive. It's not as if USC and I are the only ones who take your own posts to task, Steve N does it all the time and I've seen plenty others do it to.

There's no battle going on here, AJ unless you think that anyone who disagrees with you must be at war with you - a strange sentiment to have on a forum. You asked a question and I answered it. I've said this elsewhere - just as I was told myself when I first started posting here: Make better arguments and your own won't be torn apart. I note that you haven't shown me where my post was wrong. If I have to come out and say it, I don't take anything you say personally; I simply see you as someone whose posts are wrong and I debunk them just as I would anyone else who makes incorrect posts. That's all you are to me, nothing more or less. This is a forum, we debate ON a forum. You make many, MANY posts a day, does it come as a surprise to you that people would NOT respond? I respond to your posts more because you make more posts than, most LW posters that are certainly wrong IMHO and need to be shown AS wrong. Again, this is what a forum is for.

I've told you why Trump was able to overcome his opponents on both parties. Do you have an argument to counter that?

Yup, we're seeing the results of Obama's only positive accomplishment, destroying the Democratic Party. The backlash to him was so great the GOP had more elected offices since the 1930s.

The biggest takeaway from Bloomberg dipping his toe in the water is he realizes no Dem running can beat Trump.

Apparently Gabbard has over doubled her support since Hillary called her a Russian.

Gabbards lawyers have sent a cease and desist letter to Hillary.

Just another example of how bad Hillarys political instincts are.

    Here’s something interesting.

Poll: Most primary voters in battleground states prefer moderate Democratic nominee

Democratic primary voters in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Arizona and Florida largely said they want a more moderate presidential nominee, the New York Times–Siena College poll found.

More than 6 in 10 primary voters across the states, 62 percent, said they would prefer a candidate who would promise to find common ground with Republicans, as opposed to one who would fight for a progressive agenda.

A majority of respondents, 55 percent, said they would rather the 2020 nominee be more moderate than most Democrats, while 39 percent argued the nominee should be more liberal.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...voters-in-battleground-states-prefer-moderate

Biden probably fits that bill, a moderate Democrat. But he is slipping some and at times seems to have a touch of senility. Bloomberg and Hillary don’t stand a chance in my opinion. I think Trump’s best shot at a second term is if he is pitted against Warren or Sanders.

Its interesting over on Democrat underground they are very focused on polls, and seem to have a Warren bias.

Biden is holding the lead but its steadily decreasing according to what they post.
    https://poll.qu.edu/new-hampshire/release-detail?ReleaseID=3648

There is also great anxiety about Tulsi Gabbard supporters moving to Biden, and of Bloomberg or Steyer running 3rd party.
