Please note that nobody has successfully disputed relativity even though it is a huge issue in unifying our two models of physics today.

GPS algorithms do have to take into account the speed of the satellite as well as its distance from Earth, which varies due to orbits used. GPS depends on time, and time passes at rates that are affected by mass and speed.

GPS satellites travel at close to 9,000 mph. Their time runs about 7,000 nanoseconds per day slower than on Earth's surface. That's enough to throw off GPS positioning noticably.

We dont notice it on Earth so much as that, because we're all about the same distance from Earth's center and traveling at about the same speed. Comparing time passage in Denver to that of our coasts would be difficult, I suspect. GPS satellites are about 12,000 miles up - not 1 mile up.

I’m sure doubters don’t seem to understand the 3/4 of our economy is related directly or indirectly to quantum theory. To say that relativity which attempts to explain the relationship between the larger interstellar objects in space has no bearing on the relationship of the particles that everything is made from, is pretty short sighted. At the very least, much of modern observations of interstellar activity is observed and categorized using methodology based in part on upon quantum theory.

On the other hand you think about one door that does not close correctly in a house. The carpenter simply planes the door to fit, unless his name is einee weenee, then he get 1000 jacks and jacks the house in every direction while one door fits and the next goes out, thats what einee did
    I disagree:
All I see here from you people is a universe of vague, you know the stuff people post when they have no idea what they are talking about, why not take argue against Hatch, Meyl, Tesla instead of parroting what they teach in high school?

Had any of you bothered to review what was posted, Hatch proved by experiment that weenee is full of ****.

Hatch wrote a steaming pile of garbage.

Look, any physicist who could falsify relativity theory would be instantly as famous as Einstein.

    as I would expect
The only steaming pile of garbage in this thread is what what we see posted in einee worshiping neoatheist posts.

Hatch received the Johannes Kepler Award from the Satellite Division and the Colonel Thomas Thurlow Award from the ION.

Hatch is one of the world's premier specialists. He is well known for his work in navigation and surveying via satellite.

In a pair of articles, Hatch shows how GPS data provides evidence against, not for, both special and general relativity: "Relativity and GPS," parts I and II, Galilean Electrodynamics, V6, N3 (1995), pp. 51-57; and V6, N4 (1995), pp. 73-78.

In his 1992 book, Escape From Einstein, Hatch presents data contradicting the special theory of relativity, and promotes a Lorentzian alternative described as an ether gauge theory.

    Dayum exact argument koko used!!

How many GPS Patents you got there Will?

Lets take a look at Hatches work, you know the guy you are posting disinformation about? What was it again? Oh yeh you said: "Hatch wrote a steaming pile of garbage."

The frequency of an atomic clock is driven by the energy difference between excited states of an atom. Since the frequency of an atomic clock is a function of the gravitational potential, the energy difference must likewise be a function of the gravitational potential. Thus, the Pound-Rebka experiment rather than showing that a falling photon picked up energy, simply showed a higher frequency by comparison to a lower reference frequency. The frequency (energy) of a falling photon is unchanged. This shows that the General Theory of Relativity is wrong—gravity doe s not act on all forms of energy. Ron Hatch

    Not. impressive.
That, and the fact we’ve done thousands of experiments to verify general relativity from the most mundane to using particle accelerators. There are 30, 000 particle accelerators around the world that verify general relativity every time they are turned on.

Anti science Woo woo troglodytes somehow think they are smarter then the collective minds of every university and science research facility in the world. It’s laughable. It’s the same group that doesn’t believe in AGW. It’s also obvious because they are so poorly informed. Seriously, do they know what particular accelerators are. They need to do a little research before they speak.

Remembering that photons have zero mass ...

    What is a "falling photon"?

Ya, and be real careful about assumptions made at the beginning . I see a lot of fake physics thrown out in this convoluted woo woo, but little makes any sense. It’s what someone one who never took physics might say to make you think he did.

    Which one proved it?
How did whatever one you pick prove it?
Yeh einee set physics back at least 100 years.
Do you not understand what this means?

    Seriously?

Youve been peddling it since the day you bought into relativity.
yes, now how about you all stop ignoring and hand waving away all the data and put up a real rebuttal instead of posting political babble.

Do any of you actually have the credentials to discuss relativity or physics for that matter. Better you stick to vague nonsense about Atheism being a religion.

I was hoping so, but I havent seen it yet on the neoatheist side of the table. People always tend to worship what they dont understand. (the concept of relativity instead of examining the actual faults of relativity)
Now you are making up and posting woo woo to suit your agenda instead of the facts that prove otherwise.

It seems thats all I ever get from neoatheists is a constant barage of strawmen arguments, misrepresentation and disinformation

A New Theory of Gravity: Overcoming Problems with General Relativity

    Author(s) Ronald R Hatch

    Abstract

A fallacy in the equivalence between acceleration and gravity effects is revealed. This fallacy undermines the general relativity theory (GRT), which is based upon that equivalence. It is shown that the real equivalence in local physical phenomena is between the effects of gravitational potential energy and those of kinetic energy. Using this new equivalence, a new theory of gravity is logically developed from known experimental results. This new gravity theory implies an absolute ether and, when embedded within a modified Lorentz ether theory, also satisfies the experiments usually explained by the special relativity theory. It is shown that the new theory satisfies all the classical tests satisfied by GRT. In addition, a number of previously unexplained physical phenomena are potentially explained by the new theory. Finally, a spacecraft test of the new theory is suggested.

einee weenee's 'theories' are very easy to disprove now that we have hard material 'proven data'.

    einee weenee -- PLONK!!

I still want to know what a "falling photon" is.

And, let's remember that space itself is expanding - like it did durig the "big bang", but at a comparably tiny rate. What "ether" means in physics is relagated to old models of cosmology that were failures. The idea was that there must be some substance that fills space in order to allow the transmission of electromagnetic phenomena.

Ideas of a static ether are 100 years dead.

And, we have satellites today. It's not like we need more satellites just to falsify this total nonsense.

The problem with your question is, if you had any remote idea of the basis for relativity you would understand the term falling photon for granted without so much as a second thought, yet you are asking me to explain it to you? An equivalent question in discussing relativity would be 'who is einstein'.

Incorporating static ether into Lorentz solves everything relativity solves and everything that relativity does not solve as well. I posted the answers several times now and clearly they are not understood, but then that requires an education that includes physics to understand.

A "falling photon" is probably a photon in an inertial frame of reference.

Hatch ignores the equivalence principle. His theory is poppycock.

Possibly true. It also seemed he might be thinking there is some other energy state a photon could inhabit.

In the movie, he seems to talk about carrying an atom up to a different floor in a buildin and then releasing it, I think.

I'm not a physicist, and I' not interesed in putting much effort into figuring out where this guy went so horribly wrong.
    Thanks!

Hatch certainly does take into consideration equivalence so that will be just another BS claim made by you people that you hope slips under the radar since you wont be able to cite much less argue that foolishness.

No one here has any room for condescending attitudes except of course those who worship einee and made a religion out of relativity now that their world is shattered with the discovery einee sold them wooden nickels.

Anyway since everyones google seems to be broken but mine, I guess I can throw you all a bone, not sure it will do any good for people without rudimentary understanding of the physics of how things actually work.

Where einee worshipers are screwed is that Ron Hatch uses empirical data gathered from actual experiments he and others performed to prove his claims, compared to einee sitting in his armchair merely spouting hypotheticals grounded in magic.
