    Morning Consult poll? LMFAO?

The only poll that counts is the one on election night.

    See you then!

They're fitting the 'Trump can't win' rhetoric in preparation for the next '________ rigged the election!' campaign.

I wonder if they'll blame the russians again.

    Wrong!

Trump's current approval rating is at 44%. In September, it was at 45.3%...

Obama's approval rating at this same time in his Presidency was about 45%...

So why didn't your party let the voters do that in a year rather than stage this impeachment farce?

Nothing shocks me after 2016. You prepare for impeachment and growing public support for it..

Because every day he's in the White House is another day of embarrassment for 'most' Americans and what ever we can do to get him out of office as soon as possible is worth it.

Always add at least 5 to 10 points to Trump's approval numbers to adjust for polling bias and the 'polling blind spot'. :)

"DONALD TRUMP, TRUMP POLL, President Donald Trump's approval rating doesn't appear to be suffering over the ongoing impeachment inquiry, rising to 47 percent following a slight dip."

Those States are what counted in 2016. Part of the beauty of the Electoral Process is that the states that matter changes every election cycle. Some few states do remain consistent across a few elections, but the main ones change. No Presidential contender knows which States will be the swing states until at least half way through an election year (note that...year... not cycle). That is part of the reason that Hillary lost. She didn't pay attention to the states that were going to be the swing states and instead concentrated on the states that were the swing states for Obama. So in this election cycle states like Georgia may not even matter. We won't know for sure until the election starts getting fleshed out more. So really your chart is worthless at this point in time.

The states presented were chosen by polling not by past elections. They are known as toss up states.

Actually the aggregate is currently at 43.9. The highest its been is 45.1 in May of this year. LINK: Real Clear Politics Aggregate Trump Approval Rating

As far as impeachment goes there is a 2.8 spread when aggregated. That's with in the margin of error of most polls. So saying that the majority want impeachment is misleading if you take that into account. At best you can say that people want it and don't want it about equally. If you're trying to be fair anyways. If of course you ignore the margin of error that every single poll has then you can definitely state that the majority supports impeachment. By a slim margin.

They were the same states that were considered toss up states in 2016. You can of course look it up if you don't believe me. Makes no difference to me.

According to RCP averages, not just one poll which can be skewed. Trump approval is at 43.9%.

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html

Up from 41.9% on 28 Oct. Fact is Trump has basically been between 42-44% since May 2018 with a few days of exceptions. No other president has ever been that consistent. Obama had a range of 41-51 over the same 18 months of his presidency. G.W. Bush 50-76%, Bill Clinton 39-51, G.H.W Bush 54-65%, Reagan 44-53%, Carter 29-51% etc.

It should be pointed out that 9-11 contributed to G.W. Bush's extra high approval as did Desert Storm to his father, G.H.W. Bush. But what you see is at least a 10 point swing in approval from each president. Not just two. In fact Trump has never been higher than 46% nor lower than 38%, amazingly steady. Obama ranged from 38-69 over this two terms, G.W. Bush from 25-90, Bill Clinton from 37-73, G.H.W. Bush from 29-89, Jimmy Carter 28-75%, Ford 37-71, Nixon 24-67 and so on. You can see the huge swings.

With Trump it's a love/hate affair. Very little room for those who don't love nor hate him for Trump to move up or down in approval. It is my opinion most folks base their like or dislike of Trump on his persona, his personality or character. Not so much what he has done or hasn't. This is especially true for independents. They are split fairly evenly on Trump's policies, but give him on average a 35% approval/55% disapproval. If one were to go on issues and policies alone, those numbers should be closer to a 50-50 split.

Who wouldn’t support that? Democrats and Liberals. They don’t have the best track record supporting people who defend themselves from murderers breaking into homes or robbing innocent people on the street. Just ask them if they support the Castle Doctrine and it becomes quite clear.

If you have a better state by state poll I would love to see it.
But my bet is that you have - nothing.

No matter how dirty, Russia hoax, one-side impeachment sham, whatever. Your opinion is noted, but I think Trump is the greatest POTUS since Reagan.
