    The most explosive revelation came from Taylor, who told lawmakers that one of his aides overheard Gordon Sondland — the U.S. ambassador to the European Union and a top Trump campaign donor — on the phone with the president, during which the aide could hear Trump ask about “the investigations.” Taylor said Sondland told the president that the Ukrainians were “ready to move forward.”

    And of course, Trump is the only one that has helped Ukraine with lethal aid. Obama was afraid of upsetting the Russians.

    Ironically, I suspect those democrats that were on the fence and worried about their seats are now going "Psst, Pelosi... There is NO WAY IN HELL am I voting for impeachment after this debacle."

    I think it got under that date but so what anyway. They have the aid which only adds to the previous aid which was far more than the Obama administration ever sent ACCORDING TO THE WITNESSES.

    1. Firstly I would say that I was very impressed with the witnesses, they came over as deeply intelligent men who went out of their way to be balanced and truthful.

    2. The Dems kept trying to make them condemn Trump and they never would, there was a LOT of grandstanding from the DNC, they kept wanting opinion.

    3. By contrast the Republicans kept harrying away at the facts, over military aid, over the circumstances of the call etc

    Overall I was unconvinced, you could interpret the call as quid pro quo but that's a reach and so far all we've had is a load of blatant hearsay that falls far short of the evidential standard. I'm afraid I have to side with Trump on this one.

    Taylor spelled it out pretty clearly today when he told of Trumps requirement in that Zelensky need to “publicly open an investigation into Biden”, and Taylor also said that Trump repeatedly told him he needed to “go to a microphone and tell everyone he was opening an investigation”

    That part was conveniently left out of the call memo. I’ll bet that that is part of the actuall call record, and thats why its now on a separate server that Trump can control. It sounds like he doubles down on the rest of the call, and thats probably why they wont release the actual record.

    Total nonsense. It's the duty of the President to work with Ukraine in rooting out corruption.

    If Biden happens to be a part of that corruption, that's Biden's problem. No one is above the law, including Biden. If there is a crime involved, it's a crime by Biden, not by the President.

    He got the missiles did he open the investigation. So now you attack Zelinsky. And now you attack the career CIA officers who transcribed the conversation and refuse to acknowledge that is was because persons within the WH were leaking classified information from those talks between the President and foreign leaders threatening our foreign policy and national security? OF COURSE they are taking greater care in protecting those protected conversations but when requested by Congress they sent them copies.

    Dems want people to condemn Trump based on emotion, when clearly there is no meat to these accusations. They also want the appearance of a legal process (impresses the low info crowd) when this is a political process.
