Wrong again! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Buchanan https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Pat_Buchanan Not a catholic?
Belief in God isn't really the biggest issue for liberals. In fact almost 70% of liberals believe in God. Most liberals care more about political issues like healthcare, education, and inequality.
Indeed. Don't these people ever get tired of peddling such obvious lies? How misinformed do you have to be to swallow all the fake news that the right spews? They could have easily fact checked their brainfarts and discovered that they were wrong, but they already know that and just throw any bullshit against the wall trying to distract from their orange criminal degenerate and his actions.
God is just a title and it doesn't refer to one specific deity among the thousands that people worship. They all have their unique name and attributes. There are several distinct Gods in the Bible so which one of the imaginary critters do you believe in?
The intent of the question was to gauge the support of Israel by asking an oblique question about one's belief in their God character. If a person associates the word God with the Bible then he believes in the Jewish fairy tale, which indicates that he will probably support Israel's political interests. As we know, there are thousands of different God characters and they are all different. If the question had been specific about the belief in one of these Gods chances are everyone would have said that they don't believe in God. https://www.rationalresponders.com/a_big_list_of_gods_but_nowhere_near_all_of_them You can get the answer that you want by phrasing the question in a certain way so that people will answer the way you want them to. In America the God character is generally regarded as Jesus and not the lunatic Yahweh, some folks try to pass them off as the same. If you ask a Jew if he believes that Jesus is God he will probably tell you "hell no" but the typical Christian will probably say "of course."
That just shows how deeply you were brainwashed by your parents. Even though you now see the obvious nonsense that is religion, deep down you still believe.
not really, did you read my post? and I never called it nonsense, I just drifted away, never for a second considered it brainwashing. I still see value from a moral perspective, very much so. cant elaborate much on my phone, too cumbersome but I'd happy get into it at length from a keyboard
Which god? As of this post there are over 5,000 versions or variations https://www.exploregod.com/how-many-gods-are-there
Sure explain how "Challenging" religious beliefs has anything to do with "education".. You can teach science without "challenging" anything.
Which gods? If asked, "Do you believe in all the gods?", many would be exposed as borderline atheists, denying the existence of the gods with but a single exception. There is no indication that the gods care.
Poor old Blaise lived out his days, And gazing on a face divine, exclaimed with glee, "Oh, lucky me! I've won that bet of mine!" But then his gaze broke through the haze - He saw that gods abound! In serving one, he'd snubbed the rest. They stared at him - and frowned. Natty Bumpo
Without challenging the status quo, there can be no progress. Some of the biggest breakthroughs in science have come from challenging existing dogma. Teaching students to think about concepts by challenging their own belief system, looking at them from as many different angles as possible, is the best part of education.
Actually, bible-thumping white evangelicals are by far the more politicized. Many of them experience ecstasy over a lowlife who boasts that his show biz celebrity licenses him to grab women by their private parts, and who ruts behind the backs of trophy wives with bimbos he pays, through a "fixer," to keep their mouths shut. There is no divine sanction for such squalid behavior anywhere in their scriptural guidelines, but they apparently sell their souls to the devil for anyone, however morally depraved, who promotes greater intrusion into private matters by The State.
"Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." Genesis 1:30 This has since been superseded by a higher power.
We don't live in a Christian dominated society.. Look around it's not even Christian influenced anymore
I believe in God. I also believe Joel Osteen is full of it. So what's the point here? Believing in God doesn't make someone conservative, republican, part of the religious right, or any of that. It just means if you ask them directly do you believe in God, that many say yes.
