Hello all! My name is Jacob Mack, I am 41 years old, and I have a passion for domestic and global politics, economics, finance, and foreign policymaking. Some of my subscriptions and reading material are: Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy The Economist, Barron's, Forbes, WSJ, NY Times, Financial Times, The Meritocracy Trap and a host of academic journals. For leftists I am too rightist, for rightists, I am too leftist I consider myself centrist or slightly left of center and I tend to vote Democrat, but I am not a fan of the current President or Bernie if that gives you an idea. I have a B.S. in Psychology, and an MBA International Business and I am working on a PhD BA-Finance. I enjoy in-depth conversations and cordial, but robust debate.
That is so egalitarian of you. Welcome. PS - Most people here are fairminded and behave in line with the rules.
Greetings and welcome. Politics becomes far less complicated once one realizes and acknowledges that all parties involved are equally flawed.
Same for me. I sympathize with liberalism. I'm a simple guy who likes or dislikes something and who doesn't follow ideologies. BTW, you're welcome here.
And yet if it were not for the existence and criticism of the extremists on both sides of the political divide, those in the middle would eventually expand to fill those voids and become the extremists themselves.
