Why people have kids is none of anyone elses business.

 

...and why people don't have kids is none of anyone's business...

 

I agree....and other wrong reasons:

Because parents want grandchildren.

Because that's what everyone else is doing.

Because one hasn't thought about all that child rearing entails.

 

Really... then why even ask the question... isn't all of it none of anyone's business... besides, why are you so sensitive... did you have a baby for the wrong reasons

 

no I had no children i just strongly oppose people telling other people how to live. especially in areas where government might be involved to enforce those behaviors..

if joe blow and his wife have a hundred kids it's none of anyone elses business.

ps btw I stand 100% by what I said.. some people do have children for the wrong reasons... to cling to broken relationships or for money

 

Whatever the reason, that person is still alive and human life is precious.

 

As I get older I wish I would have had kids, someone to help out around the ranch and drive me around when needed. I did my best when I was younger but the girls were always a step ahead.

Is that having kids for the wrong reasons?

 

If someone were trying to kill you, you would not want the police to intervene?

 

I thought everyone had children to clean the house, do the laundry, clean the garage, wash the dishes, mow the lawn.....

Seriously though, I don't even like children.......

Grandkids are as good as I was always told! They are Ace.....but mind you only if they live near you. I am expecting No 4 in March.

and this is pretty much the reason given for the reality that most societies where people live in cities have less than replacement children. When people move to the cities, women get educated and want jobs and resist spending their lives being a baby factory. In addition children far from being an economic investment, to help on the farm or in old age become an economic liability. For that reason most people apparently still want one, but that is enough. .

 

I thought you made kids to get child-spldiers who can can help you conquer the world. Is this just some sort of metaphore for how children help you "conquer the world" through love or am I being literal? Hmm... You will find out one day.

Babies are awful and useless, but children are kind of cool, imo.

Children of other animals than human are indeed awesome when barbequed.

Like, what the actual heck? Of course it is my opinion, who else's would it be? I am just here to share and discuss (note: not force) my views with other posters.

 

Having children is great, even if you're not a woman.
They carry your genes. You can die calmed down. In your children, you live on.

Well there are children, far too many.....and "we" don't have to save the planet for anyone ….it would be nice if we left future generations clean air and water but I doubt that will happen...

 

People have been talking about "over-population" since the 1800's and we are yet to see this "population explosion".

Proponents of this idea have been wrong for centuries and they will continue to be wrong for all enternity.

Why do you say that? People rise from poverty every day and we are constantly coming up with new technolgoies to maximise our food production. This too is another idea that you Matlhuserians have been wrong about for centuries.

explain why it would matter if no one had children & humanity ended, would humanity know that there aren't any humans left? are you concerned that there'd be no legacy... be specific, because if humanity ceased to exist, no one would know...
